There were few players in Shulas great career he admired more that Kooch. The only player who played through the strike while everyone else picketed.

My deepest sympathies to his family. Know this. The Dolphins revered the man beyond imagination and felt personally betrayed that the Hall of Fame did not recognize his greatness and failed to enshrine Bob Kuechenberg into the Hall like they should have done. He was a rare breed of man who could push through anything and rise to any challenge. He was a rare breed of player who could literally play all 5 positions along the OL and play them at an All-Star level. He possessed a rare heart. He was a unique teammate, player, person and soul.
Bob Kuechenberg will be very missed among the Miami Dolphins, but never forgotten.
