Miami Dolphins 2019 Starting Quarterback Is Already On The Roster

Well I love the idea I mean why not? At best we discover a diamond, at worst we end up with the worst record in the league and draft our qb in 2020. I say trade the 13th pick to stock up, build the lines, pick BPA .
 
Rudock, Falk, and Ta’amu are the ones I want to see Behind Center next year. Roll with Rudock or Falk to see what they got, keep Ta’amu on the bench to learn. Tannehill, Osweiler, And Fales need to be gone.
 
If Murray is there at 13 you have to take him. He would instantly energize the fanbase and sell tickets. No trade up as they need every pick they can get. Foles will go to one of the teams in need of a QB so maybe Murray is there.

Playing Fales, Falk or Ruddock isn’t going to put Miami fans in the seats but Miami is a vacation destination and visitors do tend to have strong fan showings. Stadium is filled. Ross and the NFL are happy. If the stars line up right Miami wins 1-2 games and should have the 2020 1st pick. If they get it you have to hope they hit. No left tackle with the pick. Always take the QB.

Pretty sure Bruce Arians is going to go all in on Winston. Might pick in later rounds, but not in the first.

As I've stated many times on this board, Im NOT for "tanking", but we do have 3 QBs (not counting Tanny) on the roster. Let them compete for the starting job and build the other areas of the team.
Of course, if a "top" QB falls to us at #13, take him.
Even if a top QB doesn't fall to us at 13, draft one later to throw into the competition.
We can compete with Osweiler, and maybe Fales or Falk could actually win the job.

Edit: I forgot about Ruddock. That's 4 QBs not counting Tanny.
 
It hurts when anyone mentions Osweiler in play for next year.. Makes me throw up a little in my mouth.. Tank (which I don’t agree with, I don’t root for this team to ever lose) or no tank, please not with Brock! PLEASE NO!
 
Hey, if we're embracing the tank, then I have no problem with the 2019 QB being on the roster today. Assuming we are cutting/trading Tannehill, all we have are candidates to lead a sinking ship, which is the plan!
 
I thought this thread might be about Albert Wilson.
 
I say let Rudock take the reigns this year. He's from Miami, went to St. Thomas Acquinas HS. Should make for a watchable Tank Commander.

Are you saying we should draft Murray to "energize the fanbase and sell tickets," all to win 1-2 games? If the goal is to go after a 2020 1st round QB when the "stars line up right," why draft Murray at all? Sounds simply like a wasted pick in in purest form.

And we do WHAT with Murray after next season?? Cut him because he isn't a winner, hoping the 2020 QB, who we REALLY want to go after, will do better?

I guess I just don't understand...

I could understand why you think its stupid but it really doesn't matter. Perhaps it was put out to let the fans know their plans. Every team knows who needs a QB. Its hardly ever a surprise when a team drafts a QB. Miami probably feels like the one guy who they would take this year won't be there at 13.
 
I'd be fine with Osweiler leading the tank brigade. He is for sure cheap enough. Save as much $$$ as possible for future years (ie dont spend 15-20 million on Teddy).
 
Falk should be exploited and given every opportunity to become a starter. He is naturally accurate, has decent size and has plenty of potential. He could be a gem, you don’t know until you give him some snaps. He could have easily been drafted by us instead of the second tight end. Whatever, he’s on the team now. If you can’t make it here, the job is right there for the taking, then he isn’t going to make it anywhere. Let him go for it.

You take him and build around him. If he’s not there you look toward 2020
