Nine Quarterbacks Likely Available To Nfl Teams In 2019, And The Teams That Need Them

Yeah, Tannehill is weird that way. He needs a competent offensive line to be great. When he didnt have it, he was average.

You just dont get it.
RT isnt weird. He's average, mediocre, mundane, nondescript etc etc and any other adjective you want to use to characterize him.

The Jags are already projected over the cap. I don’t know that they can clear enough room for a QB plus others.

I think they’ll look to trade up for Haskins

A quote from Walter Football that has Miami picking Murray with pick thirteen in their early 2019 mock:

“I then thought about it. Who could take Murray in the first round? Well, there's no dumber owner of a bad team in the NFL than Stephen Ross. I'm sure he's smart in real life, but when it comes to managing his football team, Ross has made countless blunders. Ross also loves hype. He constantly invites celebrities no one cares about to games to try to draw a crowd. This would be another instance of Ross trying to draw attention to the Dolphins. He may demand for his next regime to draft Murray because he thinks a 5-foot-9, 190-pound quarterback, who thrived in a conference where zero defense is played, won't get half of his passes batted at the line of scrimmage somehow.”

The Dolphins rightfully deserve a lot of grief for their poor decisions during Ross' tenure as owner -- but the above is just silly talk. While Ross hasn't hired the right people, it's those people that have made the personnel decisions and will make future ones. Claiming that Ross is dumb enough to make a draft blunder is very poor insight considering that Ross doesn't make those decisions. It's just ridiculous trolling by the uninformed.

Having said that, I hope Grier isn't naive enough to take Murray with the 13th (or higher) pick. While Murray may end up a good player, the risk involved isn't worth a high 1st. Even Russell Wilson went in the 3rd round largely due to concerns over his size and what the odds of succeeded at that size truly are. In a way, it's like playing poker. You don't risk your entire stack chasing a belly buster straight. But if you can limp in or risk very little, perhaps you do it.

I hope Drew Lock is drafted so he can save this franchise from its own stupidity.

Personally I think there are 2 insane teams who will overdraft before the Dolphins for the overhyped 2 wannabe QBs and we will be in position to build in other ways.

They see this pick as a reach, to say the least. And Miami dumb enough to do it.
Hahaha, "theres no dumber owner..." nice grammar

Using the 13th pick on a mediocre (at best) QB like Lock or paying a ton for a mediocre (at best) veteran QB in Foles seems like exactly the kinds of dumb moves this dumb team would make.

The worst part about QBs like Lock, Grier, etc. is that they will show enough flashes to convince a **** FO that they may turn into something good. So, Tannehill 2.0.

Teddy Bridgewater is my choice. Still very young , was really maturing before the injury and he’s a local kid

Teddy is a guy I'm rooting for a lot but I'm not so sure someone who nearly got his leg amputated wants to be a starting QB anymore. I really find it odd that he signed with a team where he would be the obvious third string. I have my suspicions he may be just fine trying to collect an NFL paycheck while not having to get beaten for 16 games.

Blaine Gabbert must have done some Marty McFly **** to come back to Missouri six years later and rename himself Drew Lock.

Lock is interesting. I don't think he makes it to #13 with NYG and Denver picking ahead of Miami. The more mocks I see, it looks like Murray could be the big decision for Miami. Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks both have Murray going late 1st round.

If Murray falls out of the first round I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he decided to go the baseball route. I just don’t see the risk/reward benefiting him in football without the monetary and time commitment that comes with being drafted in the first round when he’s got a $4m+ contract staring him in the face to play a game that takes less of a physical toll where he’s not viewed as undersized for his position.
