Eagles are expected to pick up Foles contract. The Dolphins need to trade for Wentz or Foles. They are much better than what we have. Any quarterback in the draft is a risk, and I would much rather have a quarterback who has had success in this league.

I do like Foles...in the system that works for him.

As I have not seen the current regime's ability to implement said system, or watched their rebuild plan, I can't suggest the Fins trade for a QB of his acumen, and essentially pay $32.5 million on the QB position while they rebuild.

While I understand why Philly did what they did, it's going to be interesting to see how well the rest of the league plays chicken with the Eagles.

If they overestimated that Foles market, they might be trading him for a 5th rounder in early March.

5th round pick!! Seriously! Foles won a superbowl the previous season and this past season rallied the Eagles, when there was little chance of making the playoffs and won the last 3 games of the regular season. If it weren't for Alshon Jeffrey's drop they could be in the superbowl again. I would easily take Foles over any qb we have had since Marino (especially for a 5th round pick).

A first for Wentz! Let's do it! F this tanking bs

Two years in a row he gets injured and misses significant time. Do we really want to go down that road? Especially given the fact we don't have an all pro line like the Eagles to keep him upright and clean.

Honestly why not? We drafted Dion Jordan in 2013 and he did nothing. 2015 we drafted Devante Parker, and he has done nothing close to what we expected. In 2017, we drafted Charles Harris, and he has completely sucked. From the past 5 drafts in the first round, 3 are busts, 2 are good players. I'll take my chances on a proven NFL qb.

Agreed. If they have a system that fits.

Again, I *like* Foles. A lot. But you’re looking at a system QB. For 20 million dollars. And you have to give up something to get him. And who are the teams gunning for that? The Jags? Maybe. The Skins? Maybe. It’s just a limited market; is all I’m saying.

Wentz seems injury prone so that's a scary proposition.

Why is that a scary proposition? We could get a proven QB who is better than the garbage that we have had. Look at the QBs who have started for Miami since Marino retired.... That is a scary proposition.

The most important thing is availability and Carson Wentz has proven that he is injury prone. He has missed games due to injury 3 of the past 4 years (including his last year in college).

What good is having a great QB if he can't finish a season? If the Eagles didn't have a competant backup in Foles they'd be screwed.

That's a Tannehill fan with that number. They don't allow any belief that someone can be markedly superior to their guy. Soon we'll be back to the real world but right now we still have to fade the stubbornness, and adjuster remnants.

Remember, we are rebuilding. Dolphins aren't trading for any 20 mil a year veteran QB's; besides, Foles has already requested his new number for his Jaguars uniform.

I'm guessing nobody is giving up a 1st for Foles, but I could see the Jags giving up a 2nd. They have a loaded roster, and after they release Bortles,Darius, and Malik Jackson,Parnell, and a couple others, they will have plenty of cap room for Foles.
