Retain, Tag, Or Walk? - Isaac Asiata

About .3 in the shuttle and about .2 in the 3-cone, which is the difference between very good and not good at all. Asiata was also significantly older = more physically mature than Nelson at the time of their tests.

To Awsi's point, both of NE's OG's tested very well, and that movement shows up on tape. Both ran sub-5.0 40's in addition to testing well in the agility drills. 5.34 is very slow by comparison. Given his age, bad tape, and sluggish feet, I doubt the new staff will take much time evaluating Asiata.
To each his own...I think that if Flores wants the physical team he says hr does, Asiata will get more than a short evaluation.

I don't think we have a very good track record with drafting guards, so all I can say is I hope the new guy, Marvin Allen, is better at evaluating them then who we had in the past. Yes, I realize Grier was involved in some of those draft pick decisions, and I hope he learns from his mistakes.

based on some of the readily available "research" on this dude that some are posting

I must admit I have ZERO CLUE why we drafted a led foot plodder in the first place

let alone still keepin' him in the incubator like 3 years down the line...

Seriously (nearly impossible) to understated the "OL prototype" we've been using

over the past (what seems like) 20 years????

True, but again... your talking about the same coaches that didn’t use Drake properly. Seemed to take a promising Tankersly from his promising rookie year to lost?

Let the new staff evaluate... plenty of time to cut deadwood...

Maybe. Who the hell knows at this point.

I’d let the new coaches get a look at him but as of now - he can walk
