In 1990 Philbin helped Allegheny College win the division 3 college football championship!! STUD!! Allegheny OT Charles Whitehead said "Coach Philbin coached the offense and he was the reason we won that year. He made us work our legs a lot - said they had to be perfect, he made us into men."
