Who Are Your Top Choices For 2019 Qb?

For me there are two trains of thought.

A. Draft Murray if he is available at 13 (not likely). For the next QB, I want a guy with great pocket presence and Murray has that improv gene. Then my plan would involve less tear down of the roster. I keep Josh Sitton and bring in one of the top guards and resign James if possible. I would be a little more active in the FA market as long as I am spending on sub 28 year old players with proven production. No more acquisitions with expectations that a guy be something he has never been before. I would also take a look at centers in round 2.

B. Skip QB if my guy is not there at 13. Bring in a cheap veteran like Fitzpatrick to hold down the fort (or not). More tear down and salary purges. Purge the roster of Tannenbaum contracts. Draft a top DLmen in round 1. Build the trenches to prep for a rookie QB next year. I would also take a shot on a mid-round QB if one I like falls to me.

Not a bad strategy, but doesn't option 1 mean Miami has to find out if they get Murray before deciding on the remainder of that option?

Fitzpatrick is good for 4 wins and we can’t have that.
Fitzpatrick would win more games than that. with stills, grants, wilsons and drakes. that offense would be on fires. 8 to 9 games maybe wildcard.

Mark my words Lawrence will be drafted by the Patriots. They know TB can’t go forever and will be positioning themselves for his successor.

We need to get a franchise QB in the next 2 years or expect more domination from them for the foreseeable.

How are the Patriots going to get a player destined to go number one overall?

Example of why they say there’s not much sunshine in the uk.

The Colts tanked and got Luck or they could just trade. It happens.

The Patriots aren’t tanking while Brady is still there and I highly doubt they trade up. The organization is start enough to know that trading up is a mistake. The Patriots are looking at QBs in the 2020 draft.

I don't think the Tom Brady successor is going to come so easily.

You can't tank with Tom Brady and they traded away the closest thing they had to a future franchise QB.

When Brady & Belli walk away hand in hand the whole "patriot way" is going to go bottoms up.

Ebbs and flows, it's the way of life.

Luck hasn’t exactly lit up the league. Touted as the next Peyton Manning, like they all are. Having the number one pick and getting the greatest prospect of the decade doesn’t guarantee anything. Little Murray is certainly no sure thing. You can win with almost any of the other quarterbacks coming out no matter when they are drafted if that crazy lightning strikes and you get lucky. Makes for fun soap opera talk for guys, but tanking is unnecessary to rebuild your team. I want the best player available or trade down and get more picks.

Luck has done extremely well considering he was saddled with an idiot coach in Pagano.
