I know the statement has been made that Miami will wait to draft their franchise quarterback in 2020. That may still happen, but how often does a new coaching staff go year one without that position solved, or potentially solved? It's such a crucial position and waiting a year is always a gamble to an extent.

So, my prediction is that the Dolphins deal up for Haskins. I love Murray, but it sounds like there is a good chance he goes #1 overall. By the way, I think that would be a good move for Arizona. He is that type of prospect IMO, electric in every way. My main concern with Murray is durability due to his size/weight.

Haskins is right up there, though. I know he's only started one year and he's not the athlete Murray is, but he could have virtually everything this coaching staff is looking for, leadership, a strong arm, accuracy etc. He also could prove to be more durable than Murray, which matters. If you can't answer the bell, your value goes way down.

SF at #2 could be a potential deal partner. The 49ers really want and need a pass rusher so passing up Nick Bosa might be tough. The Jets, picking at #3, won't deal to Miami. I think the Dolphins would have to get above the NY Giants at #6.

Thoughts?

I don’t wanna trade up for anyone. I think we will be bad enough next year that we can take who we want in 2020 and not have to give up future first rounders. We all know that’s what it’s gonna take to move up in to the top 5

If it's the move I'm behind it but I shudder at the thought of giving a fortune for him.

He can ball, though.

Or we don’t trade important draft capital and either draft someone like Easton Stick in the 2nd or 3rd round, or take a shot at a QB next year?

I like Haskins, give up what we gave to move up for Jordan and I am in. As for next year? If he starts and is decent we are not assured of a top 10 pick. Hell with Tannehill missing games we still picked 13th! I like Fromm and Tua but I think Haskins is right there.

I have the feeling he could be had for a modest trade up or even be there at 13, if either is the case, I say madness not to take. If the Giants pass on him we could have a free run. Murray is out of the equation now, unless we trade X for more capital in this draft, Haskins is the only other player I would trade up for in this draft, if you can get him without giving up another 1 outside of 13 then it is absolutely crazy not to take him, he is legit.

If you could get him with a modest trade up, I agree it just makes a lot of sense. I doubt the Giants pass him up, though.

I do think Easton Stick would be an interesting mid-round pick. Has nice athletic ability to work with. I also like Ryan Finley, although his arm talent isn't exciting. If Miami misses on Haskins, that would be my approach. Draft a mid-rounder and look toward the 2020 qb class. I just have this feeling that the Dolphins are going to want Haskins.

Address the lines and every other position that needs addressing these next two drafts, and then do whatever you have to to get Trevor Lawrence in '21. I can wait.

I can see Arizona drafting Calimari (Kyler Murray) and then trading away Josh Rosen. Miami could be interested in this scenario without giving up too many Draftpicks to move up for Haskins.
