Kenny Stills Going To Be Traded?

Trading Stills is the smart move, that's why I doubt the deal actually comes down. I have 0 confidence in this FO until they prove themselves.

Why is Akeem Spence still on the roster??

Why is Daniel Kilgore still on the roster?

Why is Kiko still on the roster?

Why hasn't Brendel been tendered?

I could go on and on.

I get the distinct impression that Grier is overwhelmed, confused, and shaking in his boots. If he doesn't step up and grow a pair and start making decisions and getting things done, things may get worse than even I originally thought; and my initial thoughts concerning Grier as GM were as beyond abysmal.

Stephen Ross is an agent of doom.

You do realize this is a whole new staff that needs to evaluate every player on the roster to make the right calls. They have to figure out who best fits their system. If you get rid of everyone you will have a Hell of a time filling out a roster. Relax we have months to cut this fat.

His production very much warrants his paycheck. Since 2015 he has the 14th most TD's in the NFL, despite being 38th (313) in targets when going by all WR's who were targeted at least 300 times since 2015. His pace of a TD catch every 13 targets is better than DeAndre Hopkins who scores a TD every 17 targets, Antonio Brown's a TD every 15 targets, Devante Adams TD evert 14 targets, Odell Beckham's TD every 15 targets. Obviously he's not as a good as the gentleman I just referenced but Still's catches TD's at a good rate is the point.

The fact that he is 14th in TD's even though a million balls went to Landry, he played with Jay Cutler, and most recently a broken Tannehill/Osweiler is a testament to how valuable he is to the team. Also since 2015 he is 7th in the NFL with TD's of 20+ yards with 16. Only Brown, Hopkins, Cooper, Hill, Baldwin and Cooks have more. For 8 millions per year I would say he's worth every penny for the production he brings to the table.

You just... you just gotta love this forum. Thank you much, brother.

I wonder what the thinking behind this is.

Kenny Stills has been pretty good with this team and organization; though if I'm being completely honest: any player not named Xavien Howard, Minkah Fitzpatrick, or Laremy Tunsil can land elswhere and I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

This team has so many needs - along with requiring a drastic facelift, identity, and infusion of blue chip talent that the majority of the roster can be gutted, traded, or otherwise dumped.

o no way. we need Stills. be careful flores. u spreading ur self to thin.

I initially took the post as Boomer giving B and Ashley a hard time for saying Jones may be the only guy left on the team.

I mean it's possible Kenny could be traded and I wouldnt be shocked if he was but I wouldnt say they are actively shopping him

Grier isn't new to the Dolphins players as people,to the roster and how it fits together,to the contracts, or anything else that matters.
The point in your post might sound good off the cuff, but it is complete hooey.

With every passing day as the new league year approaches it becomes more and more obvious that Grier is careening into a deer in the headlights mode.

It will be interesting to see if his indecision as an actual stand alone GM(with nowhere to pass the buck) is indeed more destructive than his bad scouting decisions of the past.

League year doesn't even start until March 13th.

Shaking in his boots? Lmmfao

Five days.......you consider that a long time? Must be nice to live in that kind of delusion, if you can afford it.

The negotiating period begins in THREE days. We are on the cusp of free agency and the Dolphins have no cap space.

Unless he makes a wave of decisions quickly, they will be unprepared for free agency. That is Gross negligence.

Terrible post on so many levels

So this how this is going to go down huh?

Grier is going to totally screw the pooch, and fans like you guys are going to be his enablers, his apologists, his facilitators.

With every bad decision, and every worse indecision, you will chalk it up to the rebuild. It will all be the new coaches fault because he is a rookie, but he is going to be great in the future.

Maybe Flores will be a great head coach in the future, but he will have a hard time doing it in Miami if I am right about Grier.

He's a guru from England
Uh huh, smarter than the ,"The Beast." And he will be the first to tell you so.

Yes, you should listen to what he says. It has gravity most of the time.

Honestly I have no issues with you believing Grier will be a failure and is a part of Failed regimes past. Its your opinion and its a valid one to have.

But your reasoning is what has invalidated the whole thing.

First off . . . .what makes you think Miami is going to be a major player in FA?

Second, it could be March 13th and all the moves can get done. 5 days, 2 days, all it takes is 5 seconds to do any moves in regards to this roster.

If lack of perceived cap space slows them down in FA then maybe there is a god steering this ship . . . .but agents are well aware of team needs, fits for their clients and the ability of teams to get under the cap or have room to sign their guy. Stop taking such a narrow view of the situation.

Stop being so impatient because your bias against Grier is showing. If he is going to be a huge failure as you predict, no worry, it will happen . . . .but nothing done so far has shifted this belief in one direction or the other.

1st grade math.

If the Dolphins release or trade their under-performing veterans, and the guys who just don't fit any more, that they now have on the roster for way too much money then they will have to make some moves in free agency because the draft will be inadequate to fill in a NFL roster.

Yes, but they are going to most likely fill it with low end FA type players at lower costs. Im just not so sure we need a bunch of cap space for this year, anyways
