3-4 De/dt Question For Our Resident Draft Gurus

Do you think that Notre Dame's DT Jerry Tillery can be a productive 3-4 DE? My guess is yes, as he has a similar physique (6'7, 305 lbs.) to the Steelers' DE (and former Notre Dame DT/DE) Stephon Tuitt, as well as a great work ethic.

Now here is another one I'm not as sure of - canHouston's Ed Oliver play 3-4 DE? I know he has outstanding technique, quickness, and work ethic, but do you think he can stand up at the point of attack?

I’m not a draft Guru, but based on articles I’ve read Ed Oliver matches up similarly to Aaron Donald in terms of size. Donald has seamless transitioned to 3-4 De so I think there is a potential for Oliver to do the same. With that being said Donald is a generational type talent and a freak of nature athlete I will be interested to see if Oliver tests similarly at combine.

At 6-5, I think Tillery would be better suited as a 3-4 DE where he doesn't have to contend with shorter OGs in the NFL on a regular basis.
