Tyrod Taylor Seriously (taylor Signed With Chargers)

Can any of you tell me one team that has tanked that has gone on to be succesful? Even won one championship?

You people sound desperate. Please stop.
well im not sure if they tanked per say but the Rams just went from 4 and 12 to making it to the super bowl in 2 years. so if we have a small chance to even come close to that ill take it. Id rather be 3-13 or 4 and 12 for a year or 2 and maybe find a franchise QB and some other good to great players then 6-10 or 7-9 for the next 15 or 20 years. We have tried all types of crap with no luck now we r trying a hard reset on the whole thing. Lets see what happens. Im fully prepared to win 2 or 3 games this year, as a matter of fact in hoping we only win 2 games and draft TUA

The Tyrod fanboying is just evidence of the “Anybody but Tannehill” mentality that has plagued this fan base for the last two years. These are the same fans that believe Tannehill was the worst QB in the NFL, and that a QB “wills a team to wins” and “carries the team on his back” and “can turn a franchise around overnight”.

Ironically, they have such a skewed opinion that they honestly believe Tyrod is an upgrade to Tannehill, when, at BEST he is a lateral move, and IMO, actually a lot worse. His performance with the Browns is some of the worst QB play I have ever seen. This team has spent the majority of its time since Marino retired using retreads at QB, and it has never worked out. It’s time to look to the draft and hope we get it right.

The signing of Taylor doesn't mean we're not looking for a QB in the draft.

It's time to move on from Tannehill, it's a toxic situation.

I guess what it boils down to is are we going for a high pick or wining 6 games? Tyrod Taylor reeks of a regime trying to put together a 6 win team, YAY!

Yeah... A new head coaching job...hmmmm what can I do to prove I'm worthy?... how can I gain the respect of my locker room?... and my chosen assistants?.... how do I justify my promotion?... the money we are being paid?.... how can I get the most out of my players each week?...

GOT IT!!!!

I will just give up and field a bunch of pu$$ies… that should be enough to finally land a real coaching opportunity for my next gig...

Anyone who saw those Cleveland Brown games last year knows how terrible Tyrod Taylor truly is. So from the perspective of tanking, I get it. However, I would much rather throw those games away watching a couple of Day 3 rookie picks like Finley, Thorson or Anderson compete to see if any of them are true sleepers coming out of this draft.

Trade down and move players to stockpile at least one extra 1st for next year. That's your best bet for a franchise signal-caller - unless you happen to really like Drew Lock and he falls to you at 13.

Look I know the team is not tanking. There is no such thing IMO. I just don't understand how a QB who sucks in a pocket based, progression read offense helps everybody else grow in a pocket based, progression read offense. We'd be better off with a less experienced QB who at least fits the mold. Tyrod Taylor will protect the football, take tons of sacks and dink and dunk his way to 6 or 7 wins. Then when we get our real QB everything will change. I just think this is a bad move.

We'll win some 17-13 type games than get blown out of the building vs good teams. Taylor has like 1 win vs NE and that's only because the other QB finheaven loves for some reason I have no idea of (Jacoby Brissett) was starting for the Pats and put up 0 points.

Tyrod Taylor is perfectly suited for tank commander

He’s just one peg above Rudock and them st this point.

The thing that separates him is he won’t bring as many turnovers.

He can lose you plenty of games

Rams didnt tank, they traded up for their guy.

Miami needs to do the same thing.

I don't think he's a good tank commander at all. He will not turn the ball over and that's good enough to have a shot vs half the league. He will dink and dunk and we just happen to have 3 or 4 guys who can take dinks and dunks to the house. This is a 6 win team move.

Moore is the only reason the team made the playoffs that year. Mayfield wasn’t very good until they got rid of retard Hue and Haley.

He saved their ass in the Jets game after Tyrod had 19 yards passing on 14 attempts in the first half. Just stop dude. Taylor has 53 TDs in 8 years in the league. Hes never thrown over 20 TDs in a season.

Trade a 3rd round pick for Rosen. James walks and nets a 3rd rd comp pick in 2020. I’d even make it a 2nd rd pick if there’s competition from Washington to acquire him.

But the Colts haven't won squat yet. I realize they have a good QB but people act like they've won multiple Super Bowls. Now when they build a good team around the QB everybody is going to act like the supposed "tank" is what did the trick.
2011 Colts have not won the Super Bowl after "tanking" but they have won their division twice and been to the playoffs four out of the seven years when their star QB is healthy.

The 1997 Colts are presently a better example of tanking. They went from 9-7 in 1996 to 3-13 in 1997. Drafted their QB in 1998 and eventually won a Super Bowl with that QB.

Great, I wonder how many other SB winning teams supposedly tanked? That would really tell us if it was the best solution. We know NE has 6 of them and never did.

I don't know and don't care. Maybe that's why the team is not using that the term "tanking" in describing what they are trying to do this year.
