Dolphins Bringing Back Devante Parker - 2 Year Contract

Outside of the QB spot (where it is blatantly obvious what we have) and Ted Larson (who is barely a football player), I have no problem with the new regime signing anyone to reasonable deals they believe will fit with what they want to do. As long as they are sticking to their plan and finding tools that will fit for that plan then it's is difficult to argue against them, now if the plan doesn't work then we can start to question why we are going down that path. Benefit of the doubt at this point in time but not something I would have done if it were me on the hot seat.

I'm absolutely stunned. DeVante has been a total and complete failure in the NFL to date. I would have given the chances of Miami letting him walk at around 98%. He has had some injuries but he's done zilch to earn this money. This tells me that the new coaching regime haven't watched him play.
What the hell is Chris Grier watching to continue to give Parker opportunities? His Louisville college games? I watch the Dolphins every game and DeVante has been a very consistent failure to date. I hope that DeVante suddenly comes good but it's very hard to think of a worse personnel decision than this.

What was the deal the we had on the table for Parker?

One question....WHY??????

1.) We already said we need "bodies" since we cant draft all these replacements.
2.) The contract is structured as to not really hurt the cap.
3.) Compared to what is out there vs what other WR have signed for ...
4.) He gets a new start with a coaching staff and QB (ie see what Billy Tuner just signed for?).
5.) He is still young.

amendola, the only one who actually made a few plays gets cut over 6 million and devante, who is a recalcitrant sucko get extended for 13. not good.

I get that but is that going to change the fact he's injured alot and hasn't put up any decent stats since he suited up as a Phin. He's made the odd play but regarding his games played and what's he's shown?...meh. I hope you are right.
