Nice deal for Cam, did not think he had a deal like that left.

See if he can solidify a hall of fame career. If used as a situational pass rusher he has another double digit sack year or two left on him. Really would like to see him in the playoffs again before he retires.

We shouldn't have tried to match that. Take out the season he was hurt and last season was the worst he had since his rookie year when he really only played on passing downs.

Love him, but I don't get the sentiment from some fans that we should be putting $10 million guaranteed on a rapidly declining soon to be 37 year old defensive end while not attempting to field a competitive quarterback.

Welp, there goes my last current jersey. And sure as hell not buying another anytime soon. Godspeed Cam!

10 million guaranteed at 37 years old? Good for Cam he deserves it but that's pretty incredible. Would have loved to see him on a true contender but can't turn down money like that at the end of your career.

Depending on who is signed and for how much, we still can get a comp pick. Players released with non-expiring contracts wouldn't count toward comp picks, I believe.

Correct only true free agents count. Doesn’t look like we are signing any free agent maybe we’ll grab a few cut players but most big named big contract free agents are gone
