A Farewell To The Legend - Cam Wake

I wanted to move him and Parker at the deadline last year.

Cam will be missed for sure. There were a lot of plays where he left my jaw hanging open with how quick he got to the QB but my biggest jaw dropping moment was when he tore his Achilles, threw the TE aside and kept going after Brady. I was seriously impressed with how tough he is. He didn't even flinch or grimace as he lay there on the ground. That has to be a very painful injury and I just couldn't believe how he handled it.

I am a fan and hope he gets a shot at a ring with the Titans.

Happy for Cam being able to secure an attractive 3 year contract like that at the ripe old football age of 37. Will be rooting for him to stay healthy and succeed.
I was hoping cam would play one more year here but has to what is best.
Have to see how it was structured but No way he was getting a better offer here or elsewhere.
Bad move for Tennessee but great move for Wake. I personally hope he has a great year.

Nice story and great tribute to Wake.
I do take issue with one part that his production in the cfl was never-before-seen CFL production. Hall of famer Joe Montford won back to back defensive player of the year and had 47 sacks in those two seasons.
What is quite unprecedented is his ability to rush the passer at this level in both leagues so well.
Hard to believe the Giants cut him. Boy did they get that one wrong!

Amen Vaark! A true warrior and a first class guy. You never heard a negative word from his lips. He just showed up to play. Today's players should take note from him on how to act and be a true professional. I will miss him, hope he gets that ring. (just not our expense, hell I'm a Phins fan 1st)

I think history shows at that time they made the right choice based on what they saw. No other team in the NFL pick him up nobody chose to draft him so I don't think you can fault Giants for that. He dedicated himself once he went to Canada and became to player that he is no NFL teams were calling.

I choose to remember him for the Brady killing machine that he was.

Still remember JT and Porter talking about him and that “young cartilage” with envy.

I love his attitude, commitment to the team, his character, and most of all his play on the field. I will surely miss seeing him in a Phins uniform on Sunday, but it was time to go in another direction - not only for the organization, but also for Cam. I think I would've picked a different team, but if that is his conviction then that is good enough for me. You will truly be missed.
