Can We Please Stop

I’m not complaining but it’s going to be rough watching the weekly beatings. I really look forward to the season and this is going to suck. But this time next year should be fun.

We were told this was going to happen. They didn't put it out in an internet post or a newspaper that was given to some hack reporter, they had a PC for everyone to see. Can we please stop whining about what is going on? Let the process play out and if they **** it up then you can bitch and moan. Please grow a pair. It has been 18 years since this team has been remotely what it was in past and even longer than it has seen the SB. 1 or 2 yrs. more is not going to make a difference.:wall

You just hope these guys know how to build a team. This could turn into a 10-year debacle. I know, I know, it's been worse than that for longer. But gosh damn, I'm fifty years old. Don't want to playing bingo twice a week the next time the Dolphins are relevant.

Win, lose, I'm still going to watch them play. I watch people complain all the time in here, then I see people complain about people complaining (not attacking OP, I agree with him). There is nothing we can do about the team, so why stress over it? Just take the ride and see where it leads. My brother is a Seahawks fan for as long as I have been a dolphins fan (30 years), he finally got to see a superbowl win, and I feel eventually I will before I die.

I dont post much here, because I dont have much to add to the discussion that a lot of you have. Again just taking the ride.

Yes there is something we can do. We do not want to see where the dumpster on fire leads. We can boo and call for their heads and call them idiots and wear a paper bag. That's the whole point of this forum and the social media and going to the games.

I suppose we can also not buy merchandise.

1) i'm actually looking forward to this season. Is the team going to suck? Yeah, probably for a season or two. But it was time. They tried to build a competitive team Tannehill, and it didn't work for a variety of reasons. Now we get a fresh start, letting high-priced FA go elsewhere. It'll be nice to watch the new direction of the team unfold. And I'm just not buying the doom and gloom being cast on the new regime already by a few, already trying to stomp on other posters' optimism. Just stop. You have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how this team is going to work out next season. None.

2) The Browns look great on paper. But how about we let them actually have a winning season before we anoint them as the next dynasty? The rebooted Browns haven't won ANYTHING since they were an expansion franchise 20 years ago. Literally. They've had one winning season. Want to go back farther than that, to the old franchise? The Browns have had a grand total of three winning seasons, and one playoff win, since the freaking 1980s. Have the Dolphins been stuck in mediocrity for a long time? Sure. But let's see how this upcoming season plays out before we start calling them a juggernaut.

I just find it funny that we have a mediocre quarterback and there is debate about whether he should be replaced with someone better, or someone worse...

Yes, we're playing this almost exactly how I thought we would although I expect a lot more guys to get cut. In fact the only thing I am surprised about is how slowly the cuts are coming. However, I was all over the Tyrod Taylor potential signing because IMO he can't run the NE offense. I at the very least want the guys that are here to have a chance to grow in the 2019 season. I'd rather have a less experienced QB who can run the offense. I've been killing the idea of Jacoby Brissett also because I see no reason to give up anything for a bad QB. We already have plenty of them for nothing if that's the route we want to go.

I understand exactly what the Dolphins are doing, it's pretty much what we heard they were going to do but if they sign or trade for anyone I consider to be a waste of resources I will continue to complain.

I don’t think this is a very holy thing to do, Mr. Holy.

Yes it is. That's why we put away criminals. You fire lousy employees, and so on. Holy is to get better and to complain and do something about bad things, like the Dolphins.
It's not holy or okay to say the Dolphins are okay.

I am totally fine with what’s going on. This is a five year plan with a guy who (I believe) knows exactly what he wants from his team. Long gone are the days of the past where we spend like crazy in the free agency just to be good enough to go 8-8. Just build the team Flores and Grier. I’m totally on board with it

There better be interest in a rookie QB! Also I am just doing reply and it’s still quoting!

Not disagreeing, but there is a debate here on whether Flores will go after a QB this year or 'tank' and go for a top prospect next year. The reason for the debate? No one knows. It is that unknown that is the vehicle of frustration. Granted, whichever path Flores takes will generate a lot of vitriol from some, but at least fans will have a good idea WHICH path.

The OP's point was "Can we please stop whining about what is going on? Let the process play out and if they **** it up then you can bitch and moan." No, we can't. Wherever any of us are on the debate, most of us won't quit whining until some clearer indications surface.
