Teddy Bridgewater Discussion (resignining With The Saints)

my downside would be that would take us out of the Rosen trade if he's available...which to me is a preferable option.

That's fair. But I think it depends on the draft pick they would have given up. I'll take the potential upside and low risk of signing Bridgewater over giving up a 1st or 2nd for Rosen.

If we sign Teddy I am going to lose it. How fk'in hard is it to tank!!!

Roll out Fales and win 2 games. Get the pick and build through the damn draft. Not lets try to compete next year and win some games to screw us just like the 2012 draft.

If he signs here its for starter money, wont expect anything less than 10 per

It has to be at a discount or it makes no sense -- I'm assuming he's down with that. If not -- we move on.

But we ain't payin' him premo $$ out of the gate -- it's a trial for all parties -- but he'll be the starter

and have the chance to build his career moving forward..

I'd agree with you on the 13th pick, but McShay said the league hasn't devalued him on account of last season's terrible team. So a late 1st on a trade down or a 2nd is fine by me.

Every QB needs to be used correctly. If Bridgewater was potentially coming in under the old coaching staff, I'd have zero confidence he would out-produce RT.

Right. But ---------- big difference!

:)

And if they believe in the kid, and he's good with that -- it's a low risk proposition on our part

unless you're like totally sold on the losing deliberately thing VS aggressive rebuild.

Trade for Rosen, give the cards our 3rd round pick or hell, trade Geisicki and a mid-late round pick.

We know what Bridgewater is, he isn't the answer and he will get us 7 wins which we don't want.

Sam Bradford is still available, he would definitely get hurt so he may be an option. He would be on IR by week 5 and then we can complete our tank mission.

It’s probably going to take more $$ to convince Bridgewater. Being a QB for a year in Miami could hurt his career if we have a poor year which were expecting

Looking at the current state of our roster, if Teddy Bridgewater is good enough to win enough games to put us out of contention for one of the top QBs next year, then he’s good enough to be our long term starter cause he would have to do a lot of things right
