Teddy Bridgewater Discussion (resignining With The Saints)

What’s late bloomer about bridgewater? He missed like 2 years or more I guess due to his leg. Backup qb for the other. First year starter.

I don’t see how late bloomer applies here at all.

I get the injuries, but he’s been out of college for a while, and even before he got hurt he didn’t really show he was going to be more than a guy who can start in the league. So by late bloomer, I mean someone who turns into a great QB after a certain period of time of being just ordinary. It’s not a precise definition, but the point is that the smart money is that Bridgewater is not going to be appreciably better or worse than Tannehill. In other words, a half measure that will give you the worst of both worlds.

I’m not on board with TB unless he is cheap “for a QB anyways”. His knee injury was far worse than Tannehill’s. The game that he did play in NO, he looked like **** and that is with all of the same players that Brees makes look good. I would rather take my chance on a rookie.

"Having already locked up home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs, head coach Sean Payton opted to rest several Saints starters for the regular-season finale against the rival Carolina Panthers.

Those stars who were inactive for the game were quarterback Drew Brees, running back Alvin Kamara, offensive tackles Terron Armstead and Jerome Bushrod, guard Larry Warford and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr."

Thomas played a half to get a record...Ingram a little less trying to get within reach of one.

Teddy is only leveraging (as he should). If he didnt get out the gate at once and visit teams (especially the one who he would choose if he truly would leave the saints) is just how you do it. If he didnt, he and his agents know they would be leaving a lot of dollars on the saints floor. And what confirmed this is he left miami last night WITHOUT a contract.

His agent was on the phone with the saints brass as soon as their butts hit the limo seat reporting on the offer. Dont know the numbers only that its a muti year deal (saints offer is 1 year as of now) but i am sure if the saints really want him around they wont have a problem beating miami's offer.

And this is where we are at in finz history, a home town kid whos whole family is there, muti year, starting gig, and he left the facility. He knows the finz want him and have already offered a multi year deal instead of the 1 tear deal the saints laid out and ted still hit the airport!!! If the saints up the dollars a wee bit and add on another year, i believe he will sign with the saints even though theres more years and a starting job year one. THIS is your miami dolphins folks. Enjoy!!

"TB has been a bench warmer for a couple of years and should be paid as one until he proves otherwise. no way you pay him more than 5-6 million, if he has a problem good luck with the bench in NO
like i predicted way back in the thread, he leaked the info to tout himself. very bad sign, pass on the twat."

Didnt TEDDY take the vikings to the playoffs his first season?

Yes with Jay Fiedler numbers, who also by the way took his team to the playoffs. Look if we sign Teddy we sign Teddy but I’m not kidding myself into thinking we upgraded our QB position. Many here will, we shall see by seasons end.

No, this is Teddy Bridgewater. And every other NFL player. Of course he is trying to get the best offer he can get. It would be stupid to accept the Miami offer without asking the Saints if they would pay more.

He’s a hometown kid? So what? I work far away from my home because of the money, nothing else.
