Where Things Went Wrong For Ryan Tannehill

I think it's only fitting that I'm the one that dumps the final shovel of dirt of his Dolphins grave/
It's quite a stretch to claim this article is 'the final shovel of dirt on his grave', but even if it was why is it fitting that you deliver it?

You mean this one? https://www.lockedondolphins.com/dolphins/charting-ryan-tannehill-2018-week-14-vs-new-england/

Where I simply told you how he performed that day when he played his best game of the year? There are links to all the other charted games in there too. You can find plenty of criticism too.

I argued against people that would tell anyone they could find how awful Ryan Tannehill was this offseason because MOST of their arguments were completely void of any logic. I never shied away from telling you where he comes up short. He had the worst year of his career in 2018 - bottom line. And now he's done. So, good for you, I guess. You sure showed the team that you apparently root for.

Cool story. Solid contribution.

No this article where you said he always performs at at an elite level when the dolphins are ready to get rid of him.

"Every time Dolphins fans are ready to prepare for what’s next at quarterback, Ryan Tannehill rises from the ashes and plays at an elite level."

"The 2018 season is shaping up very similarly. After a strong start, then stumbling in games four and five, Tannehill is back with a vengeance."

"The numbers. The wins. The quantifiable metrics are all fun and an easy shortcut to display Tannehill’s recent success, but the it’s the complete control of the offense that best showcases Tannehill’s growth."

"Miami can run the table and jump back into the post-season under Ryan Tannehill’s guidance. After all, last time, he wasn’t healthy enough to finish what he started."

In my opinion Philbin is what went wrong. Tannehill never had his complete trust and it ruined him for the rest of his career. That and he should sat for the first year to learn before being a starter right away.

Lack of any real competition since day 1 management drinking their own kool aid.
That's the KEY right there.
The ONLY semblance of competition was when Garrard was in camp. When he got hurt, the job AUTOMATICALLY went to T-Hill with out any further competition.

Garrard didn’t get injured, he faked his injury because he was being beat out by a rookie. He then went on to do the same thing with the Jets. Quick pay days for his exit.

In a sense you're kinda right. Management played a key role.

First thing that went wrong with Ryan Tannehill was Philbin, the second was Gase, the Third was a knee injury and the 4th was a shoulder injury. All while both coaches never ever had a sound running game and leaned too much on a QB that consistently got his arse kicked by a roman chairs O-line along with having weak pocket presence.

All are recipe's for disaster,
Actually RT did well under Gase until the injuries occurred.

All of those different schemes and add in the horrible OL. We really will never know if he could have developed into a top QB. However, I think that it is too late for him now. I would draft a QB and let him set behind Tannehill next season. Then draft a QB every year until we have our QB

Excellent post.
Concise and accurate without all the bogus dramatics the lemmings love to roll in.

Yet he's still here, still scheduled to make a bucketload of money in 2019 and be the starter for our team. Until that's not the case, I'm not on board with articles like this (which quite frankly lack a lot of substance).

Different schemes is a Ryan Tannehill excuse? Did he not have the same coach in college as when he went into the NFL with Sherman? This is almost unprecedented and yet that coach was fired and Ryan Tannehill could not perform because of so many coaches and schemes???

Evaluations should be fluid. Find one lie in there, I see none.

Find one lie? You have been fluffing tannehill for the last 7 years even though he has been awful. You praised Gase as an all knowing god because of his faith in tannehill. Once he started to distance himself from your idol you wrote an article about how Gase is a terrible coach.

I can’t believe how toxic Finheaven has become.

This dude provides solid analysis that just so happens to mention Tannehill doing something well and the dude is set upon like a pack of hyenas on a gazelle.
He's trying to sell his website and pod cast, and flip flops to FoTM to garner greater support, deserves cynicism iyam.

Or he’s possibly just addressing things as they come up? Tannehill started strong this season, then got that shoulder injury, and then put in the worst seasons he’s ever had. Sounds like his analysis is following that progression.

I suppose his mistake was that he dared to say something other than “he sucks” about Tannehill.
