Thrilled Tannehill is gone or upset he's gone?

Neither thrilled not upset. It must be done. His window expired three years ago. He must be out. We need to get the QB for the new window. The question is how.

This deal is not the way. This deal is idiotic.

Loyal to the end. Never his fault.

And if he quit on the team, it says more about him and his fan bois...then it does anyone else.

I'm not saying he quit on the team. I don't believe that at all.

I'm simply pointing out that you saying the team quit on him then in a subsequent post referring to a game in which we gave up 45 points doesn't make much sense. Nor does it provide any evidence to your claim that the team quit on him.

You're allowed to have your opinion, regardless of how poorly it's conveyed.

So we keep him then. You can't have it both ways.

what kind of deal do you think we should have gotten for him?

Except we did not get 3 draft picks. Or did you mistype?

Miami paid 5 mill for the 4th, sent a 6th and Tannehill, received a value sweetener in a 7th.

I quickly figured it out.

All the haters are so upset we just didn't just cut Ryan Tannehill and get no compensation. It would have made them feel so much better.

They have to deal with the fact we got a 4th round pick and are equally bummed he's on an other NFL team now.

They have to keep their champagne bottle on the shelf a little longer.

I think the cap relief in 2020 offsets tbe only getting a 4th round pick return

Ideally with a restructure a 3rd should be in play imo but with the off the books 2020 I think you take it and move on.

42-17 Buffalo vs Miami

Tannehill was outplayed by rookie Josh Allen, who accounted for four touchdowns. It was a sour end to the season for Tannehill, who failed to hit the 150-yard threshold in four of his final five games.
This will probably come as a surprise to you, but in the NFL, offenses play against defenses. They do not play against other offenses.

And the best receiver in the NFL just netted the Steelers a 3rd and a 5th after putting up hall of fame numbers for an entire career and is still very much in his prime, what a bum.

As if trades happen in a vacuum where only talent and production count lol.

I would also point out one last thing on your ridiculous thought process here.

The Pittsburgh Steelers did recieve MORE after LOSING Mike Wallace to Miami by picking up the highest comp pick possible the following year....the 97 th pick.

The entire coaching staff of the Titans are updating their resumes. The Serial Coach Killer has arrived. Has Cam Wake demanded a trade yet?

No. His cap hit was due to be 26.6 mil.
You cut him with June 1, and the cap hit this year is 7.8.
That is 18.8 mil savings the year! Available cap to sign free agents. To sign RT, to sign OLB for the new 3-4.
With this trade the cap hit is much larger. And they paid 5 mil for nothing, for a fifth round value.

You cut Quinn, you can sign James.
You cut Parker, you can sign Justin Houston for example.
With the post June 1 Tannehill Cut you can sign Benny Logan, Allen Bailey, a 34 DT, and Parker for 6.5. You can get things fixed on defense, and leave the draft to move up and grab a QB.
There is opportunity.

You can get better immediately! that's what good teams do.
This GM is an idiot. He is fkn around and fkn up.

This will probably come as a surprise to you, but in the NFL, QBs ending a season with 4 out of his last 5 games with fewer than 150 yards, is pure bum output.
