Dolphins Willing To Eat Salary In Robert Quinn Trade - Visiting Cowboys

Good move. Get as many picks as possible. They usually ain't for sale, and it's only money.

I have no problem keeping Quinn if we can't trade him, but I would rather trade him for a pick, or picks.

When the move was first reported, I wrote that they simply paid the 1.1 for a pick. And if picks could be paid for, it's certainly worth us being buyers especially if it's QB next year.

I'd push my chips all in that Quinn is traded from now to before the end of the draft.

I'd take a 3 next year for certain and he's probably worth more than that (another late rounder as well) to a team that's competing.

He's on a large contract and I'm not certain he fits in a 3-4. He's also 29 which in the NFL is getting old.

If the hooplah is for next year, go get them picks. "Do your job". Hey, they got it done with Tanne. I have faith.

I understand what your saying. But I'm not sure Miami will get anything more than a 5th. The question is how much will it cost them for that? I just don't see any team giving up a 3rd round pick for a 29 year old and declining Robert Quinn for a 1 year deal. Possibly if they get him to sign for an additional year, but I'm highly sceptical and doubtful a 3rd!!!

A 3rd next year, though. Doesn't the value of a pick lower if it's a pick the following year? He was rated 19th. I don't think the price is high if you're a contender.

And I'd be completely okay if they are willing to pay something like the Tanne trade but they already have paid so it doesn't make sense. We do have the cap for it.

I'd want more than a 5 next year but I'll take it. I'm dealing for only next year picks if the plan is QB next year.

I don't think it matters, though. Isn't it a forgone conclusion because it's out there already that they are shopping him?

Hayes is not worth keeping hurt as much as Parker. Good player though. Quinn I might keep unless we can get a 4th though we will get a 5th or 6th. We will have zero on the de position when he is gone and so so at DT.

Hayes is a FA and no way we are going to re-sign him for a rebuild.
I think he retires two years in a row was on injured reserve about tto turn 34.No upside for a rebuilding team to spend money like that

If they can't find a trade partner by the time the draft arrives, my guess they'll release him outright. This shows some initiative on Miami's part. But unfortunately I'm not sure there is any interest in him, because they would have traded him already.
It is kind of tricky. You can keep him hope he builds value to sign elsewhere, hope it leads to pick which it may not or cut him now which does not seem liklely since they gave him bonus
