Facetimed Devante Parker..

I’m going to hope and pray he just has horrible injury luck and it’s done.

But I was pretty sure mid season that he would never be back because he is either injury prone or soft. Hopefully not both

Fingers crossed

Dude what in the world is wrong with you?
Parker has been underwhelming as a first round pick but come on... wishing harm on someone is just wrong.

The fins got Parker on a team friendly contract for the next two years. Which was actually a smart move.

By now it's abundantly clear that the Dolphins are not going to be a good team next season - with or without Parker.

Now I'll admit that Parker has been underwhelming considering his potential and his status as a first round draft pick. But well, the fins ain't ever gonna get back that pick. What they might actually still get - even if one were to consider it as unlikely - is some return on their investment with Parker.

Yeah it's unlikely that Parker will start stringing along several great games like the one 136 yard game he had last year. Heck, I'd say it's far more likely that he will continue to have the same unreliable production he's had since the fins drafted him. But the Dolphins aren't paying him a fortune and they got nothing to lose next season. So it's the perfect opportunity to try and get something out of their investment. Be it a draft pick from a trade after the annual one great game from Parker or maybe, actually even Parker developing into the good wide receiver he could - in theory - be.
The new coaching staff of the Dolphins must be thinking that they could get Parker to become that good wide receiver, so why not give them a shot at it? And if he sucks that just means more chances at the #1 draft pick. Win - Win situation right there.

I wasn’t wishing him harm on him! I meant he has had horrible luck. Not hoping he has future horrible luck. I phrased that poorly.

I wrote that right before I laid down for bed after a long day. I apologize if anyone took it the wrong way

This story literally makes no sense. You are missing the part where you go from having your phone case noticed to facetiming with Devante Parker.

Ok, I was reading all the comments, and beginning to think there was something wrong with me. At least I’m not the only one lost

I think maybe the conversation went like this "if we release this guy Bill is going to pick him up and make him look like a world class WR1 on the cheap........maybe we can keep him on the cheap and see how it goes"

devante has the size and physical traits to be very good but based on his time in miami he seems to lack the desire to be great and is always banged up...if devante played with the passion of jakeem grant he would be one of the better receivers in the league and fans outside of miami would know his name...

Should have traded him when he had the huge game last year...at least this regime is savy enough to rebuild his value before outright cutting him. Might get something for him yet!

I think younger generations now refer to face-to-face convos as face timing.

Kids these days.

I base this on absolutely nothing.
This was my assumption as well, mainly because its the only way OP makes any sense at all...

Devante Parker's biggest problem is that he'd rather party than take care of his body / get serious about being a good football player.

He can say whatever he wants, but when locals know that he's seen dancing on tabletops while 'fighting through' a leg injury, it's a pretty hard sell.
