Ryan Fitzpatrick To Miami

You guys do realise that we just have to be in the top 10 picks and then we can trade up for who we want right - we dont have to have the first pick

Except for competition. No one knows how many of which teams below may want a top QB next year and how bad (i.e., what they'll offer) they want one of them. Draft order is just the initial position.

haha The team he was on last year in his magical run is picking 5th this year. Winston actually won more games than him. He started 7 games. Played in 8 of them. A top pick with him at QB is not out of the question at all. He's not some juggernaut at the QB position. He's going to be 37 and he has a 50-75 record in his career.

This ...just this.

As the Eagles, Rams, Bears, Jets, and Chiefs have proven … teams in need of a QB are desperate enough to mortgage the future to get one.

Right. Denver shouldn’t have signed manning because he wasn’t the qb for 10 years. Arizona shouldn’t have signed Kurt Warner for the same reason.
Wait a minute, didn't you bemoan others for wanting to give Tannehill time? Yet Fitz had how many years in the league? Or was it yessir or Dphinz, or kingdom come, or... Oh who the hell knows anymore there are too many new names with the same silly thought process.

Ya but I would rather have the first pick than having to trade up to that spot and give away a bunch of draft picks. That way you can draft any QB you want and get to keep all your other draft picks. Then you can have your cake and eat it too.

I'm not saying he would can him, I'm saying they SHOULD can him. Good coaches don't win 2 games, I don't care what the roster construction is.
I absolutely agree. And I’m tired of reading all the nonsense about how this or that player or front office move wins us too many games. Yes please, Miami Dolphins, win too many games.

Not if the team picking #1 overall is as sold on Tua (or anyone else for that matter) as we are. If that's the case, they most likely did the smart thing and tanked for that pick.

Teams in the mix for #1 for me are Dolphins, Bengals, Giants, Redskins. Jags, Lions, Bucs and Cardinals have the outside shots. Here's hoping the Giants, Redskins and Cardinals land their QB's and one of them implodes enough to pick 1st, in the event we can trade up. This team is still very, very bad, but again a first year HC with any competency is going to win more than 2 games, so lets just hope the team picking first overall has a QB in place that they believe in or shows flashes year #1.

Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 his first year in Dallas and won two Super Bowls with them after that. Bill Belichick had a bad record when he was the head coach of the Browns. Same with Pete Carroll when he was the head coach of the Jets and Patriots. Having talent is a big part of how a coach does.
