Drew Lock Meets With Dolphins

The nfls gonna be like a weekly matchup vs his top conference competition.

That’s probably the biggest red flag. His play against higher level competition.

I watched 4 conference tapes and ended up with a hard pass grade.

Hope you are not dissing the Gators, ranked in the top 5 when we played his team, he kicked our butts, put that tape on.

Gators D has always been super talented too, the issue with the team has always been on the other side of the ball. He kicked our ass the previous year too.

Tampa’s not going QB this year in round 1, Bruce Arians loves Jameis Winston and believes he has can make him elite! I actually think the Raiders Would be more likely than Tampa(but I don’t think either one will).
I hope so. That would make it a lot easier.

Not sure about the Raiders. I think they want to see Carr with AB first. Next season is really meaningless to them. If Carr and AB click so be it. If not they will go QB next year for the shiny new Vegas stadium.
They don't even know where they play this season.

In my opinion these are the teams who could target QBs to be groomed and pick ahead of us:
- #1 Cardinals: Rosen or Murray
- #4 Oakland: Carr (29). Still has dead cap money but low (5 Mill next year; 2.5 Mill in 2021)
- #6 Giants: Manning (38): UFA next year
- #8 Lions: Stafford (31). Possible out of contract in 2021 with a 10 Mill dead cap hit
- #10 Broncos: Flacco (34): has 3 years remaining on his contract and no dead cap hit. Could be released anytime.
- #11 Bengals: Dalton (30) has two more seasons and no dead cap hit. All guaranteed is paid out.

I am pretty sure the Giants will go QB this year even if they may want to extend Manning. They cannot get caught flat footed and with no other possibility going into possible negotiations with Eli.

Lions and Bengals: I am not sure how confident they feel that Dalton and Stafford will bring them to the promised land. I can see them (fans and FO) have a QB fatigue like we had with Ryan. They could wait another year but if either team has any ambitions to be better next season this year might be the better draft position for them to address the QB situation.

Oakland: like I said "who knows". They may just stay pat and target a QB next year if Carr does not excel next season.

If the Cards trade Rosen I hope it is to a team ahead of us preferable the Giants.

I think Oakland will either trade up for Murray or stay put and wait till next year, I see them not going QB.

Giants, but they may target Daniel Jones at 17 as he is very similar to Eli.

I don’t see the Lions doing it.

Denver might do it.

Cinncinati might.

However, the Giants, Denver & Cinncinati could all wait till next years QB class as well since they have Vets.

My gut tells me we’d have to get to 5 for Haskins....8 or 9 for Lock.

Todd McShay from ESPN is now reporting that Drew Lock is a consensus top 10 pick in the Draft. So if we want him, we will have to trade away pick(s) to move up and get him.

This seems to happen every year. There is a scramble at the last minute to grab a QB. Teams start tripping over themselves to get into the top 10.
Personally, I never saw the hoopla surrounding Darnold, Rosen or Allen.
I don’t see how they are significantly better than Haskins, Murray or Lock.

I don’t doubt that and Denver seems like the most likely landing spot.

Yep. It's a total HYPE league (HUGE guaranteed $$$ maker) so don't tell the neighbors!

As much as I like him, I personally wouldn't do that. Haskins and of course Murray are the two I would move to take, I feel more confident in them than I do with Lock. If he's there at 13 though and we don't take him, I'm still on board with that as long as there is a plan in place, and that plan had better not be Daniel Jones or Jake Fromm.

We should... but will we?

Miami’s downfall in my opinion was continually passing on opportunities at QB’s since Marino.

Brees, Rodgers and Ryan were all there at our pick.

Mahomes was a short trade up away!
