Excited For Fitzmagic...

If they put a good OL together in front of him, he's going to do better than most of us will hope. I still rather would've let some QB's battle it out in camp and let the best one start. Gives us a much better look at what we've kept on the roster and if there's any potential to possibly be had there.

Fitzpatrick can likely win us just enough games in a pointless season to give us a slightly better draft pick than what most of us are hoping for.

All Ross and Grier have stated is that Miami is no longer in the business of signing high priced veteran Free Agents in desperate attempts to be a playoff team and moving forward, they’re gonna build this team “the right way” even if that means growing pains. Fans and local media have taken the “Tank” term and ran with it.

Part of building a team “the right way” is introducing a culture that doesn’t tolerate losing, let alone losing on purpose. Sure, Grier, Flores and co want to build through the draft and bargain priced, younger FA’s but I think going in to 2019 with Falk and Fales as your options at QB signals to the rest of your team that your mailing it in and that’s a very dangerous precedent to set. Not only that but Miami needs at least a competant QB if they have any hope of correctly evaluating the players on offense.

Even if Fitz has a decent year, this team will still be picking within the top 10 with suddenly a lot of 2020 draft capital. If 2020 is indeed the year Miami wants to draft a QB, thanks to all the extra picks/comp picks they’ve acquired, they’ll probably have more ammo than any other QB needy team and will be just fine when it comes to positioning themselves for a move up.

That being said, I don’t think Miami is waiting until next year. I think signing a veteran like Fitz signals that the Fins have identified 1 or 2 QB’s they think they can get this year.

Sorry but nothing more boring to watch than a bad team rebuilding with a 36 year old QB

Well I'm a fan of this for 2 years. Then I want to Tank for Trevor. I dont want a QB in 2019 or 2020.

His 48th team?

You must have a problem with accuracy. This doesn't help your credibility. It does go a long way to explaining your incredibility.
Sarcasm - but yes, not a fan of his.

I've absolutely no problem with him coming in, it's not like we've signed him to be QB long term. Admittedly my favourite fins QB in my time as a fan has been Matt Moore so I'm probably pretty easy to please! Will be infinitely more fun than watching Cutler

Teams that are winning now get to the SB w a QB still on their rookie deal and they stock up on FA talent while they have the cap space. We are definitely clearing cap, will try to hit on a QB and then we will be back in the business of signing high prices FAs again while the window is open. Once the QB gets paid it’s a lot harder. Seems to be a shift - Chiefs, Eagles, Rams have all gotten to the SB / close of late w this formula. Watch Cleveland - yes, Cleveland - they are doing the same thing. F the Pats. Don’t try and emulate them. No one can. Emulate what’s working now for “normal” teams.

I’m excited for Fitzmagic too...Minkah Fitzpatrick.

As to the thread, what can be said about RF that hasn't already been said?
