What's The Worst That Could Happen?

Len Bias in the cocaine capital of the U.S? Risky but I like it, but what position would he play?

He would probably be our Offensive Line coach.

And I meant more of the dying on draft night bad luck, wasn't worried about his position.

I agree 100% on the 2nd part. The consensus seems to be to wait yet we all know that if we leave the 2019 draft without Murray, Haskins, Lock or Jones many posters will implode and probably turn on Flores/Grier immediately. Rushing it would be much, much worse if they don't believe in any of those guys.
Great point.

Post Of The Year candidate. On that note, I'd like to also add my thanks to the owner who spends his own money to keep this place going, and the team of monitors and administrators that make this such a wonderful escape for all of us.

THANK YOU for making Finheaven.com a warm and open community for us to debate, commiserate, and be irate at the shenanigans that our Miami Dolphins sometimes put us through. It is all better when we share it together here on Finheaven.
Can't overstate the appreciation for Henrik and before him Matt stepping in many months to make up the $difference on this very robust bandwidth-consuming site.

Losing this site would be heart-breaking.

In regards to the team and the future, not finding a star/franchise player in this years draft would be my worst case scenario.

The draft is where this organization needs to turn it around. It's been our Achilles heel for far too long. Even if all things go catastrophic with our coaches and an inexplicable turnover comes after one year, the drafted talent will remain on the roster.

I need a star out of this draft to believe we can turn this thing around. Our first battle for the future will take place in the aptly named war room.

Worst thing that could happen is that Grier continues our run of awful front office people who can't scout, acquire talent (via Free agency or the draft) and continues our decade plus of mediocrity by doing just enough.
what Grier says below worries me some.

“But despite that, Grier says the Dolphins didn’t make a mistake when they drafted Tannehill with the eighth overall pick in 2012, or when they signed him to a six-year, $96 million extension in 2015.

“No, I don’t think it was a mistake,” Grier said, via the Sun-Sentinel. “I think the one thing maybe we could have all done, and me pushing too, is drafting maybe someone behind him to come through, that could back him up, maybe. But we had other needs and it was a different kind of mindset in terms of how we were doing things.”

Yes...yes you did....multiple mistakes actually..

Disaster is claiming a top QB in this crop in rds 1 or 2 when you can focus on the trenches

It would be dr Jeckel and mr Hyde like to tear down and not sign players in FA to sign a marginal Qb when we are well set up to select early next year with some pieces already in place to BLOCK

Never take a coach or GM's words in public as anything.

He's not going to bash Ryan.

Trading him for a 4th and eating cap this year proves they knew it was a mistake.

Donald Trump impeached and then buys the Miami Dolphins.

I hear ya,
I think in his situation, where we know mistakes were made strictly based on a flawed player the best thing for him to say is I wish Ryan well with his new team..

The worst thing to happen would be to draft a non-elite QB in the first round. Pretty much everything else that might go wrong this year would be a short term loss with potential long term gain.

Does anyone think Jesse Davis can be our starting RT? If not, it wouldnt be horrible to draft RT in 1st. Not the worst thing.

I would be upset if we drafted Haskins, or an RB, WR with first round pick.
