Closest he came was in 2015 when he led the Jets to a 10-6 record and missed the playoffs when the Jets lost the tiebreaker to Steelers for last Wildcard. He threw for 3900 yards and 31 TD's and 15 Ints. His best season ever. The jets were listless at 5 and 5 when Fitz got hot and led the jets on a 5 game winning streak. He threw 13 TD's and 1 Int during that 5 game stretch that included 4 games with passer rating in triple digits. Then the clunker in Buffalo to end their season. Fitz cooled off and threw 3 Ints in Buffalo and the Jets lost 22-17. All he had to do was beat the bills and they were in. Where have we seen that one before?

I guess i should have also mentioned that that was the only season that he had a winning record as a starting QB. :lol:
The other 13 all had non-winning records. And he has a non-winning record for every franchise he has started for.

He was 2-1 in 2017. And he has only started in 12 seasons.
 
He is streaky and 2015 was his best chance with that Jets defense. Should be exciting...

I wish so bad that you are right. Nothing more boring to watch than a losing team with a 36 yr old QB. I liked Luke Falk a lot in collage and wanted to draft him with one of our 4ths.

Sadly, I don't think they'd start Falk even if he beats out Fitz in practice. The most probable way of Fitz being a mentor if its we go QB in the first. Even then, they may sit the rookie.
