Quinn To Be A Cowboy Soon??

I love the confidence the F/O seems to have moving forward. The footprint for this type of plan was layed down by the Cleveland Browns. They had a lot of draft capital over the last 3-4 years, and now have a very young and up and coming roster. They also had enormous amounts of cap space, allowing them to trade for big contracts like Vernon and OBJ and paying Landry. Miami will be ok, if they do the right things. I expect Miami isn't done. I think they'll trade down in 2019 picking up even more draft capital. Of course this is just my opinion.
The reason I'm not a fan of John Dorsey's approach for the Browns is that it is one big PR stunt. He inherited a ridiculous amount of cap space and draft picks, which gave him ample room to make these moves.

He handed a first time coach two diva receivers who have hugeattitiude issues. Two running backs who might not like sharing carries. Vernon who plays on the same side as Garrett. Not to mention all those draft picks for the Browns will be up for extensions soon. Dorsey may end up leading that team into cap hell.

The best GM to use as a model may be Chris Ballard in Indy.

Seems like a waste of time really. A 6th? Probably the first move by the new regime that I’m not impressed with.

Kind of, but THEY HAVE THE QB!!!!! That's the point that escapes!

If you look at Ballard's VERY FIRST DRAFT, 2017. He drafted TWO DEFENSIVE BACKS at the top of the draft and one later. HE DRAFTED THREE DEFENSIVE BACKS!!
Malik Hooker, Quincy Wilson, Nate Hairston! In his very first draft!

The Browns fortunes did not change with Sashi and Hue. They were idiots like Chris Grier! They went 0-16! And drafted Myles Garrett.

The Browns fortunes turned when they got a guy who gets it and gets sht done!
The Browns fortunes turned when they hired John Doresy, who in his VERY FIRST DRAFT got THE QB AND THE CB IN TOP 5!!!!

You want to follow a plan? Fire the idiots running this team and get someone who gets it, does not do damage, and gets sht done!

Quinn - while young - would likely be 30 for our first "competitive" year with a rookie QB.

More of a 43 DE - who most of us had watermarked for cut.

A 6th ain't good, but it ain't bad. Feels like tank season is upon us.

John Dorsey inherited a very sweet situation in Cleveland.

Outside of having to choose a QB(and time will tell if Mayfield was the right choice) he has added in my opinion players that ultimately will create more headaches than headlines.

Now on to Miami its amusing how fans speak so concretely about what should be done as if its as simple as saying gets it done.

Chris Grier as the "GM" has not selected one player yet, sure everyone says he was picking this player under Tannenbaum and Gase or signed player X ....however he may have been trying to be a team player.

Im willing to give Grier his opportunity to work his vision unencumbered

Im not ready to call him a failure

Sos is it official yet? I was hearing a 6th round choice … was hoping for higher.
