Hot trash...

I like Charles Omenihu better than Ferrell

Wow.

Going heavy at DB. Selling the farm for a QB...

....who would be crushed due to our nonexistent line. Yeah. Good idea...

I thought I drank too much. Apparently, I am an amateur.

Jesus wept. Go O line and D line.

This draft is loaded with guys who can help our glaring weaknesses:

O line and D line.

I read the first pick and closed the website.

I read this first reply to the thread and nearly did the same thing.

But then I realized there’s bound to be others that realize Jonah Williams is a really good player. Not saying he should be their selection, but, if he is, the Dolphins could do a lot worse.

Anyone closed minded to the point of believing it would be a poor selection isn’t a good talent evaluator or good at recognizing areas of need and shouldn’t be take seriously.

Unless a QB the new FO and staff believe in is still on the board, Williams would be as good of a non-QB selection as anyone else.

Because drafting a college LT to play, RT? Guard? Is retarded when there's better players at different positions.

A RT at 13 is a hard approach to get behind.

Ok.... but the point was... why bother with silly comments like … I quit reading when the first sentence said yadayadayada…. why quit reading?... who cares if you quit reading???... especially since there was no substance behind the remark....

Who knows what the plans are?

What if the new regime has plans to trade Tunsil?.... what if Tunsil projected ceiling has been hit and the rook has a higher projected ceiling?...
What if it's smoke and mirrors???.... baiting a trade in the draft

Why not just disagree with an opinion that backs up your attitude? What are we 8th graders?

I know you are, but what am I? Yeah, how'd that taste? ;) j/k

No quite the opposite. Pass rush STARTS with coverage. The defense STARTS with secondary. The rebuild STARTS with secondary.
What.... naw man ur completely wrong here. Not sure what football u watch but putting pressure on the QB is where it all starts. Unless u have 4 pro bowlers in the secondary the way to win on defense in the NFL is to pressure the QB with your front four not ur back 4. Doesnt matter who plays back there u cant cover a wr for 8 or 9 seconds.

Thank you. Some people just don't get it. It all starts up front on both sides of the ball. If you can have a great pass rush then you can really help your secondary but when you have no pass rush at all and the QB has all day to throw then it doesn't matter who you have back there. I mean it's like saying you want you bad tires in the front and the good one in the back of your car. That doesn't make any sense.

I agree with the premise but not your approach.

Alot of our secondary issues are going to be fixed once our new DC gets his hands on it. Scheme ruined our secondary last year.

All of our defensive alignments are going to be based off of what our coverage schemes are, so you are right there.

All the pass rush talent in the world isnt going to get to the QB if your DBs cant cover for 2 seconds, but all the DB talent cant cover their man for 7 seconds if your pass rush is ineffective. They go hand in hand.

If we go DB, grab a boundary CB, that is what we need most. I'd hold off on safety till next year.

I can tell you are high on Haskins and Lock, but not everyone is. They have issues. Experience for Haskins and consistency for Lock. Neither guy is the slam dunk you are making them out to be.

But if we DO draft a QB, you sure as hell want to beef up that oline asap as well.

There is alot of work to be done and focusing on one unit at a time isnt going to help, we need to spread it around for a couple of drafts.

No they are not. Our secondary is not good, they are not elite., Very important to understand, we do not need good defensive back. We need "elite" defensive backs.

Haskins and Lock are elite. That is not my opinion. It's a fact. They did it. They made themselves elite. Opinions and how somebody feels does not matter. What a lot of people think or I think does not matter. They are elite regardless.

We need an elite quarterback. We cannot draft a Will Grier or Ryan Finley just because someone likes them, because thy are good, or god forbid Easton Stick. Cannot have that. We must get an elite quarterback. Settling for good is not good enough, it is unacceptable.
It is also unacceptable to operate on false premises that this qb class is poor and next one is better. Those are not facts. Those are opinions, and opinions are irrelevant.

GROWN MEN play in the trenches. Grown men take time to grow. This FO just scrapped the team of grown men in the trenches: Jordan Phillips, Quinn, Wake, Jawuan James.
They did it to themselves. I do not want to hear about how we need to improve the trenches.
They did it to themselves, and rookies are not going to be grown men.

I will not be surprised in the slightest if Cordrea Tankersley all of a sudden looks a hell of a lot better, assuming he has a full recovery.

I've intentionally tried to stay away from a lot of your stuff, because we're all entitled to our opinions.

But you're transposing your opinions about players with factual statements about an arbitrary term.

It is not a fact that Haskins and Lock are elite. It simply isn't. That's like me saying "It's a fact that Fred is potato!"
