I'm for stopping the big money free agent signings and pretending we're 1-2 players away from competing like when we signed Suh. I'm for stopping putting a bandaid on long term problems like when we signed a 32 year old Sitton. I'm for fixing the cap by getting rid of bloated contracts. If that's called tanking than tank away.

Surprised I'm the first undecided. I know we need a plan, and i hope we can get our starter without having to take the low road... also I'm ready to get who we need by any means necessary. It's a chess game and I suck at chess

Well first off define tank because I think different people have different definitions relating to intent. I don’t think any coach or any player intentionally loses a game but some people equate tanking with purposely losing games which I don’t think is really ever the case.

Teams may go into a rebuild mode where they look to shed salary and bloated contracts with little expectation going into a season. Does that count as tanking ?

Now a fans perspective might be different. As a fan is tanking, hoping your team loses with eyes to the future even though the team still looks to win games?

Anyhoo, personally if given the choice I’d rather win 1 game next year than 5. Define that as you will

Nice post, taking is for guys to stuff their package between their legs and pretend they are woman.

As if bouncing between 6-10 and 9-7 doesn’t involve plenty of losing, with nothing to show for it.

Last time this team won a playoff game Bill Clinton was in office. Nobody who isn’t post-college age can even remember the Dolphins winning in the first round. And you have to be in your 30s to remember this team winning a playoff game past the first round.

I agree with your approach.

I don't call that tanking. Tanking is when you "throw the baby out with the bath water". This means blindly replacing everybody and every thing yet still fielding a team. This is what I call "lemming" thought processes.
