Actually I'm more for a Native American cleansing of the parking lot at the stadium, along with a statue along with a Seminole annual scholarship. A small price to pay for sure considering the curse that's followed this team since 95.

Seriously it all means nothing unless we get a quality coach and staff. No secrets here, Shula turned that around in one year. Here's hoping Flores is that guy

What tanking? They have a vet QB, they have vet receivers. They need to get a PROTOTYPICAL QB, not Tua. And they need to fix the MESS THEY CREATED in the trenches and in the secondary!!! Get it fkn done in FA, and in the draft! The 5mil they incurred and dished out to Tanehill would come off their salary. Get the GROWN MEN in the trenches in FA. Get elite DBs in the draft.
And get the best D coordinator too, not first year project coaches!
Get sht done, stop fkn around. Now.
But since they are not doing it, fire them now, and get someone who get things done, right!

A monkey can do the tanking, comes cheaper than these idiots, and that's who they should hire for tanking. Go to the Miami zoo and get some monkeys to run the team. And monkey will be more loveable. They will have an excuse.

Hey the Colts sucked for Luck and look at them now. Look at the Browns. If you have a good front office. The tank option will work and set us up for years to come. If they mess it up its not like we are going to not know how to handle missing the playoffs! We have tried spending and everything else. Its superbowl or nothing. I could care less about 2nd place. It meams about as much as last.

In it to WIN IT!

You play to WIN the Game!

Don't like the JEST, but Ole Herm summed it up pretty good.

My personal belief is whatever you do in life do your very best and let the chips fall.

If Tanking is the attitude, then declare to the NFL that you are forfeiting every game for 2019.

At least you would be honest and you would not risk getting anybody hurt in a game and could spend all of 2019 practicing and scouting College, CFL, AAFL, XFL, UPS & FedEx for players for 2020.

That's EXACTLY how ludicrous tanking sounds.

Dad doesn't believe in it, America won't do it and neither should the Dolphins.

TRY your best to win! See what happens.
2007 Dolphins 1-15
2008 Dolphins 11-5 - Greatest Turnaound in NFL History!
Try to do something special - Be remembered for something other than giving up!

Don't really care if I get flamed by those proposing the "Logic" of Tanking.

Tanking is just a Loser mentality in my opinion and not something I'm willing to subscribe to.

That must be so pleasing to some people. Miami has been mediocre for over a decade, the "win now" folks have 2008 and 2016. Keep 'em, I want a decade or more of playoffs and superbowl wins by rebuilding for the future.

I’m all for the method of ridding ourselves of aging, overpriced players to put ourselves in a better position next season.

Play our hearts out and see where it takes us

I guess I don’t care.

This will be my 43rd season with these guys. While the first 20 odd years were pretty good, the last 20 odd were not, as we well know.

Let’s assume for a minute that Flores will be a good coach and has a competent staff. He gets a couple decent hands for the lines. Fitz is an OK (sort of) QB. Receivers and RBs are good. LBs are not quite where we want them, but are not the dumpster fire that they were. Secondary is one boundary corner from set.

Point is, I bet we win at least 5 games this year. Wake is the only guy we lost that was both good and consistent.

So I don’t see us getting Tua next year. We have enough to win at least 5 games this year.

So I doubt they tank. Throw in the fact that Tua or whoever else is not a sure thing (which no one is), it seems foolish to deliberately pitch an entire season to try for a QB that may or may not pan out.

I hope Flores is smarter than that. Shula wouldn’t do it. In fact, Shula took us to a Super Bowl with David Woodley.

Kinda shows that coaching is at least as important as the roster.

The Dolphins will say they are not tanking, but the real truth is they just don't have the overall talent to compete against most teams. You keep hearing about adding a few QB's into the mix and Trevor Lawrence of Clemson is my pick a few years from now. They have to address the offensive line or they will ruin a QB like they did with Tannehill. Saying the guy is injury prone after taking a beating behind a porus line is laughable. I think Grier will draft guys on both sides of the line this draft and add some through free agency and build the team from there.

Good point and Flores is no Don Shula. if you look deeper, no Patriots assistant has been real successful as a head coach, so you have to worry about the direction this team is heading, IMHO.
