All This Tanking Talk Is Sickening!!!

they are not tanking. they are getting rid of most of the players responsible for the 9 losses: wake, quinn, tanny, gore etc. if they kept them and traded the few semi decent players on the team then maybe.

they may not be super bowl bound now, but they certainly werent Super Bowl bound before with branch, wake et al.

Dolphins need to rebuild. The roster is even worse than last year. They let their studs walk last year and their depth this year. They’re not adding a couple pieces and competing now. After last season you’d think fans would get that but they still can’t get out of their own way. Fins need to to keep letting these vets walk via FA for comp picks or trade them when their value peaks between now and the trade deadline. It’s too bad talent like Jones and Wake wasted away on this organization for so long, but they gotta right this ship at some point or guys like Fitzpatrick, Howard, and Drake will too.

They can still lose this year while becoming masters of basic fundamentals with great coaching. Keeping it simple won’t win them games, but learning the finer details, so that when the talent is there in 2 years, the culture and leadership is in place to bring it all together.

Tanking, rebuilding, the end result is the same. Bad year and record with the hope of a high pick and a QB that can win games.

Yes I do have an idea. Give Arizona our first pick this season for QB Josh Rosen, sign free agent G Quinton Spain and use the rest of the 2019 draft on Defensive Linemen. If the coaches are any good, the Dolphins would win 9 games which would keep the fanbase excited. Then in 2020, go for the best available player in round one. The rest of the draft they can go for what they feel they need.
I don't believe you watched Rosen play last year.

Surrender and wave the white flag now, this team is bad and a few years from being any good if you know anything about football.

This is a different topic but is Rosen really worth our first pick? We lose a year on a real first round QB selection on the contract and he looked like doo-doo. I think he's only worth a second at this point, at most.
Yes Rosen is worth the pick. He is certainly better than Lock. He may not be more talented than Haskens, but he has a bigger body of work and is more accomplished. His Offensive Line was one of the worst in the league last year.

Lol, Josh Rosen, a second rate free agent guard and a bunch of D-lineman drafted in the second round and after gets you 9 wins.

For the "it's just a one or two year reset" poster, your trying to sneak through a line of crup and I'm calling you on it because you can't win points in a discussion when you misrepresent your position. Resetting means tanking no matter how you try to disguise it.

And tanking, no matter how you disguise it, requires preparing losing gameplans on Sundays which is not going to happen.

You think Flores would rather be coaching for Tua than coaching for coach of the year? These guys have been bread to win since they were in diapers.

You can have the best gameplans and still lose. Intentionally poor 3rd down decisions.

I can definitely see a "Battle of the Tanks" on the horizon...
