Jackson needs some polish as a player, but is 6’7″ with a strong right arm and he ran a 4.59 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine earlier this year. That’s the kind of prospect that teams are often interested in taking in the middle rounds to see if they can apply that polish and a couple of teams to head to Buffalo to see him recently.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins and Lions both made on-campus visits to meet with Jackson. Connor Cook is currently the only quarterback on the roster other than Matthew Stafford, so the Lions may be in the market for another backup option. The Dolphins might provide Jackson a better chance of getting starts as a rookie as Ryan Fitzpatrick is currently pencilled in to start.

Jackson was 225-of-407 for 3,131 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for Buffalo last season.

i would rather have stick as a mid rounder. career 55.8% accuracy is a big red flag. no thanks
kid is better off trying to convert to a TE imo

Totally agree. Those tall QB's over the years have not been accurate and that's something you can't teach. You're either accurate or you're not. It'd be a wasted pick imo. Lots of people here don't like Josh Allen because he's not accurate and this guy is worse.

He reminds me of LAMAR JACKSON. That may or may not be a good thing. I'd love to take a flier on him AT EARLIEST 4th round.

QB accuracy is also dependent on the receivers catching. Maybe his receivers dropped a lot.

But a late round guy for me would be Gardner Minshew

Exactly, looking at the number alone isn't always a fair way to determine whether throws go where they are supposed to. WRs can run a bad route when timing matters or drop a well thrown ball. Something tells me Buffalo isn't exactly a hot bed for elite WR play.
I don't know all the factors for his completion percentage, but just saying the number alone doesn't always tell the full story. I'd have to watch his games and I have not.

Drops can contribute sure. But when his completion % is so low that has nothing to do with drops. The guy is just not accurate and never will be.

I think he's definitely worth a mid round flyer, could be a potentially good back up at least.

you cant blame 55% a dropped ball issue. that is way too low to blame on other players. thats a freaking excuse

He's got tools but no qb is ever that tall and successful

That's such a silly way to evaluate a player and yet so on point.

How many examples of QBs that tall do we have? I'm sincerely asking incase anyone wants to do the research.

Please stop advocating for Easton Stick, especially in the mid rounds. As a 7th rounder? Sure, knock yourself out. As a mid-round player? Hell no.

Round 7 Id be ok with it, but I am not a big fan. Overall rather just avoid him. Accuracy is not there for me.
