Bucky Brooks' "gold Jacket" Team For 2019 Draft

Buckey whatever. IMO

Gotta get our core talent (LOS) early and often. I have

ZERO issues with R1-R4 (even through R5) dedicated to

the BIGS (edge included). For those talkin' "deep draft

@ OL" -- I don't think so. My take? There are some

prized hogs to be had but I think the sounder of swine

gets thin after R4 -- now you're into pure spec territory

vs. high yield hog %. DL is deepest with a few super

heroes at the top (love me some Oliver -- but seriously

does that dude fit the expected scheme? Could be my bad

but he looks like straight 4-3 material as opposed to "hybrid."

But I digress parenthetically). Bottom line -- just watched JJ

football life on NFL net and gotta agree the dude was unreal

picking winners @dallas (and Miami on D at least). Anyway

even way back in that era, JJ was stating how difficult it is

(basically impossible) to build a championship roster with

the normal allocation of picks. Hence the Herschel Walker

trade and the bounty of picks! But JJ also underscored the fact

you gotta HIT on those picks! That said -- this Org has a serious

challenge ahead of it -- if we're to become a dominant team...

Because who give a rats ask if we're just good OK or even worse

average...

Have a nice day!

All those guys have the talent to be HOF caliber.

All of them need to be put in the right situation to win, just like all players.

Bingo! It’s all about situation. That’s why, as much I like Kyler Murray, if he goes to Arizona it’s going to be a struggle.
If they do go for Murray first they want to be using the rest of their picks on the Oline going by last season!! Rosen got no protection.

Bucky seems a good dude, he was one of the analysts here in the uk for a few Sundays towards the end of the season, filled in a lot of gaps I had about how teams go about picking players in the draft (tho I'm still convinced when it gets to the last couple of rounds they just pick names out of a hat!!)

I didn't know predicting HOF this early was a thing.

I like Bucky, but its hit and miss whether I agree with his valuation. Analysis is good, but weighting of those valuations are all over the place.

Case in point, I would say Devin White is also my top can't miss prospect and a truly phenomenal LB, so I'm completely in sync with him there. I'm not on the Hockenson train that everyone else is …. very good prospect, but I don't see HoF there … it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I'm in complete disagreement with Haskins … I don't even see him being special, and nowhere near an HoF'er. I haven't really spent much time evaluating safeties this draft so I can't really say on that one. I do like Garrett Bradbury, but he's a harder one for me to project. I get a feeling that if he stays healthy he could be special … but I still prefer Chris Lindstrom … can't really put my finger on why.

This draft is very deep with OL talent, so I would recommend drafting quantity in the mid rounds rather than splurging for one of the top prospects. We need to rebuild the entire OL around Tunsil, so now is the time to give people a shot.
Yeah, it's so hard to say who can reach that kind of level. Obviously, a lot has to fall right for the player including ending up in the right scheme that best utilizes their talent. Off the top of my head, I'd say Oliver, White, Bosa have the best chance. There will be surprises and, like you said, lots of talent on the offensive line. I can't even begin to properly judge those guys.

Not sure how Brooks got that gig but I’m not a fan of his.

The homer hurricane fan in me says Travis Homer, who is completely overlooked will be special in the league especially where he will get drafted. Canes are known for their brotherhood of league dominance, and past decade shows players become far superior to what they've been under our crappy coaching during college days.

I love Oliver, White and Greedy but man Burns, Rapp, Savage, Wilkins, Lindstrom, Gardner-Johnson really intrigue me and I'd love for any of them to either get picked by us and become stars, or not get drafted in AFCE!

Another guy who may be a lot better than anyone thinks due to physical traits, might be a late day 3 pick is a consistent performer, is smart, reads situations, plays the pocket and throws a solid ball and could flourish in a system like what ours seems to be is Rypien.

Dont care what people say, I've really become intrigued by him the last several months, and the fact he has 4 years experience in pro style offense and seen the throws over the 3 levels of the defense, I think hed be a wise pick. May never be a star, but has moxie and talent, has pedigree from uncle, and will play a long time in the league imho.
