Draft Prospect Visits

I think it’s so obvious what the dolphins are going to do..the writing is on the wall. Look at all the picks they are trying to accumulate for 2020 draft that we are building ammo for a 2020 QB and this years draft is about protecting that QB. I would be shocked if we didn’t try and trade down as well and draft Oline and at least 2 of them in the first three rounds.

Accumulating picks in 20 could help us move up in 19 as well. We'll see, they are doing it right time will tell who they may target.

Why would Miami ask for 2020 picks when 2019 picks are more valuable in this draft ? I don’t see a trade up in this draft at all.

I think it's unlikely we move up too but will have the ammo in a 2-year plan the way I see it. If they fall in love with somebody in this draft they can use 20 picks and 19 picks to move up. If it's 20 then no harm no foul and we'll have even more ammo.

After all, getting rid of our dead weight isn't going to generate too many 19 pics so beggars can't be choosers.

Justin Hollins of Oregon will be in tomorrow
This I like.... I watched him and he does a little bit of everything right... Watch 10:10 @ Michigan State how he diagnoses the screen & gets the sack.... He's pretty solid with a bull rush from the inside (ironic given his stature), but I don't think he's going to be an EDGE. I think he can in a pinch, but I think he fills the Dont'a Hightower "Jack-of-all-trades" role.... He was lined up on some slot WRs and was able to keep them at bay. Definitely looked at lot more natural standing up at LB. I sometimes question his aggression, along with the obvious strength issue, but I think that can be coached.... I think he's a good late Day 2/early day 3 pick. I have him in the 4th round, but he'll probably go in the 3rd because versatility is at a premium these days.

Dude looks like a straight up rush LB!

I love 'em when they know how to attack the QB!

You guys over here are really draft mavens!

Thanks for the cookies.

That one is all @j-off-her-doll and @silverfin

I don't watch any TCU but I gave him a look after they started mentioning him.

With Miami bringing in Hollins and Banogu, it confirms that Flores wants a D similar in style to NE. This isn't shocking news, but you never know. It also points to Grier working well with Flores, bringing in guys that make sense.

Of course, we have to see who they actually draft. Said it elsewhere, but Offense would be my priority, and I'd be looking at picking up a DB or two and a guy like Hollins or Crosby in the 3rd-5th range.

Drafting for fit and with a purpose would be a change. Having a plan for players they bring in will also have a positive impact. One of the most frustrating things to watch over the last few years was seeing this team draft players that were not fits or not able to get the most of their abilities.
