Russell Wilson May Be On The Trade Block? Would You Want Dolphins Trade For Him?

Pat Mahomes is a once a generation talent. No qb will be as good as him for many, many years.

Russell Wilson has carried a bad team to the playoffs, while leading them in rushing and being efficient.

This notion he's had those things to fall back on means little when he's the teams leading rusher and the defense fell off, hard. When he was young he was benefitting from the same running game and defense that went 7-9 the year before he got there.

In 2012 they had the most rushing attempts in the league, in 13 they had the 2nd most, in 14 they had the 2nd most, in 15 they had the 3rd most, in 16 and 17 the 20th most (shocking), and last year the 2nd most.

It's not a coincidence that last year they "got back on track" in terms of being an excellent football team by pounding the rock, not to take too much away from Wilson because he is very good, but running it that frequently with an excellent D is GREATLY beneficial to ANY QB in the NFL and his fanboys just ignore that. Pete Caroll knows what he's doing, and I can see why they may play hard ball with RW because they don't need him to be successful (team identity great D and run game, Richard Sherman knew this and probably why he's put Wilson down publicly and said Seattle lost their way), even if he helps a lot.

If they did trade him (which I doubt it) I could see Oakland being a trade destination. 3 first round picks this year and 2 next year.

Then get him and let Miami's decent run blocking OL work.

Miami and Seattle had just as bad pass blocking efficiency OLs last year and Wilson had 35 touchdowns and 7 picks to go along with the 3rd best rating in the NFL at 110, not to mention a 8.1 YPA which correlates to winning games btw. Miami's crumbled and played like a high school kid for 80% of the season. Miami's OL, if they were given the same amount of attempts, would've had a good run blocking stat on paper as well. They allowed the running backs to go for 4.7 up, down from the elite OL in Seattle that allowed 4.8. To act like an elite qb would fail behind an identical OL is a hilariously bad take.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Now i'll be able to see even clearer, that Miami's oline is not better than Seattles. maybe you should pick up a pair, or two.

Nobody said they were better. They're basically identical in pass blocking and, well we know how good Wilson played.

I thought we were talking about Russell Wilson. my bad.

You literally said Seattles oline was worse than Miami. Which is exaclty the same thing as saying Miami's oline is better. Hello?

You're right I did, sorry been a rough day.

I did some research and realized they were both equally **** at pass blocking and one qb played at an elite level.

Yes, last year their pass blocking was similar, but you can't just take one season and think Wilson will be able to perform that way every year. Again, he's getting older, and miami needs all the help they can get to fix their O and D lines, as well as other pieces they still need.

He's had a bad pass blocking OL since 2016, and they were worse than Miami's for 2016 and 2017, and he's always performed at a high level.

Whatever, what makes Wilson "elite" is the fact he doesn't have to throw it very often and can rely upon his defense and running game to win football games.

Miami needs a ton of work in the run game and on defense, because it's not just about running the ball but it's about running the ball effectively and they have 3 studs at HB who ALL averaged some ridiculous s*** like 4.4 yards a clip.

Without the help he's accustomed to RW would look far from "elite" in Miami or anywhere else without these things in place, I f****** dare him to leave the comfy confines of Seattle, that would awesome but I think he's too smart to let that happen when push comes to shove.

Yet he has won leading the team is passing and rushing, he's a bum though.

Miami's OL if allowed to run block more, they'd have a good OL according to you as well. Allowing 4.7 yards per carry isn't something to scoff at. He'd have the same pass blocking OL and yet he had 34 touchdowns when his best WR is Doug Baldwin, so.

Ryan Tannehill ain't coming through that door again though.

Miami only averaged 4.7 ypc because they didn't run it very often (25th in the league vs. 2nd in Seattle), people knew Seattle would run it and they still had success.

All 3 of their backs averaged something like 4.4 ypc by the end of the season, to act like Miami had an equal rushing attack compared to Seattles last year based on team YPC alone is ignorant.

I would give them our next 4 #1 picks and not think twice

Y’all want an elite QB but you wanna beat around the bush trying to get it....

Or we could just suck one year which is where we are headed and get Tua. We then get a 22 year old on a rookie contract and have 3 first round pick still in our pocket.

Using Miami and Seattle and any QB you want, switch HCs/OCs/DCs and the D and convince me the QB would still have the same record on either team.
