Who's Your Pick For Most Improved Player

Charles Harris on D and Gesicki on O. Always amazed how we claim our coaches are inadequate yet we call our young players busts.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Baker.

He had a decent rookie year, and may benifit from the new system.

I'm going with Mike Gesicki

2 Inline TE's added to the roster so we know he won't be used to block anyone anymore

Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing him the ball and doesn't mind throwing into coverage

Sounds like he been working hard and added 10 pounds of muscle

Yards 950-1100 TD's 10-12

The more I think about this, the more I think any player who had flaws in technique should improve. Who should improve MOST? Still think it's Taylor

I like Baker. But I think the opposite. I think the new system is a bad fit for him.

How so? Could you be more specific?

He is very fast, and by all appearances, a solid tackler.

When given the opportunity, he also had success blitzing.

He may have some shortcomings as a cover guy, but even that may not be true, given our DCs incompetence.

I would go Raekwon and Jalen Davis..

Jalen Davis in college was a really good player, very smooth smart instinctive player, very draftable player, looks like what he showed pre draft was no fluke..

I don’t see how Vincent Taylor can be on this list. For 2018 absolutely but he’s already taken his game up a level.

Wouldn’t choose Baker because of scheme and possible impact on snaps for him.

Durham smythe could be on this list but it’s not gonna be sexy given his skill set and use. Could be a quality in line blocking tight end.

Jalen Davis gets more physical and stronger in the stem and I could easily see him unseating Bobby mccain for the slot gig. Provided McCain’s brain farts carry over to tbe new staff. Davis needs to come to camp with an nfl body for contact.

Isiah ford didn’t have a body for contact in 2018 probably gonna be an uphill climb for him to make a major impact but I suppose he could be on the list. Rerouted way too much in 2018 preseason etc.

Woodward maybe. Probably rotation though.

I don’t like ballage on this list because I think he lacks vision. Opportunity could carry him though I guess.

Schemes always gonna have to offset Raekwon’s limitations way I see it. More consistent tackle to tackle poa play though is a requirement to carry his grade

He looked good blitzing as a free man. How about when he had to take on a blocker? Even if we don’t make a full transition to an odd front, he’s going to be asked to take on more blockers in this scheme. That is far from a strength.

You have a valid point. He is not a "big" LBer, and it is possible to exploit that with a power run game. In those situations, he MUST beat his man to the "spot". That's where speed, and quickness can mitigate the shortcoming.

That specific "flaw" it there in any scheme though, whether it be the last one, or the current one.

I will go with either LB ... Raekwon or Baker ... think they will both do well this year!

If they just let Gesicki be a Receiver, then he has a chance ...
