Mini Camp Interviews

Good lord that interview with Devante makes me cringe. Look at that compared to how Stills can answer these questions and just talk to people in general. Also really like that Dwayne Allen has been an additional coach out there for the young guys

I was thinking the same thing. It seems he plays the way he speaks. He just looks doomed and gloom. On the other hand you gotta root for the Brazilian kid.

He's always come across as a timid kid. I noticed that from day 1.

100% agree with that statement.

Wow loving this Dwayne Allen addition already. This is the first time I've heard him speak and I'm loving his energy! He's going to be a great leader for all the young guys especially our golden boy Gesicki! ;)

Yikes! No kidding that gave me intense anxiety just listening to him, although I can't say I'm surprised. I've felt this way with all of his interviews way back when he was first drafted. Bless his soul, I hope he can regain his confidence on and off the field!

I really hope devante takes that next step THIS year because hes been saying the same thing every year. Dont believe me go back and check the videos

Edit: Ok, I watched the interview for the Brazilian kid and that **** was real as ****. But the rest of it is fluff lol

All of this **** is fluff.

"focused on 2019 season"

"excited for new opportunities"

"working to improve each day"

"staying hungry"

"wants to master his craft"

None of this **** has any substance to it.

It's one of the reasons that writing about sports is so frustrating. It's difficult not to be cliche, and ordinary, and boring.

Devante's career is on life support. He knows it. We know it.

And it's the kind of stuff that should have been flagged pre-draft.

What are his habits like? Does he always succumb to those nagging injuries that don't show up on the injury report? Is he going to take care of himself without you having to drill it into his skull?

He has all the skill in the world but can't get out of his own ****ing way

Devante has TALENT, he does NOT have SKILLs. Attacking the ball, creating space, route running are all SKILLS ... he HAS speed and size - THAT's it!

IF he had SKILLS, we wouldn't be complaining about him ...

You can't help but to root for someone like Durval. That is one strong looking kid, and like some people have already mentioned in other posts the Phins may even try him in the OL. as an experiment. He is built like a tank!
