J-off's Sideways Board For Miami

As it was put by Tom Pelissaro, the AED being on hand at all times is a precautionary measure. He could easily never have a problem. But, he also could. Gaines Adams died at 26 years old from cardiomyopathy due to an enlarged heart. Teams have to be thinking about that.

I think football is one of the most demanding sports out there from a physical damage standpoint. These players take multiple collisions per game that test out like car wrecks as far as the force and damage they do to every part of your body. It’s just tough to sign on with a player when you know there’s an increased risk factor.

This is the guy that I thought could drop to 13.

Well.

****.
He probably will drop and we should pass on him. Consider how bad our luck has been each time we take on a guy with injury history either thru the draft or free agency.....it never works for us.

What a devastating blow for the kid. Wow. Not only bad news medically but
straight up he's looking at the loss of $millions -- probably his entire NFL career
before it even started. Only hope for him (in terms of playing) is:

“Some more progressive teams,” said Pelissero, “some more progressive doctors
have spoken with cardiologists and gotten comfortable with the idea that
Montez Sweat would be able to play with this.”

I was always told most athletes had larger hearts. I’m also pretty sure beta blockers would help bring the heart down to a closer to normal size.

Getting awfully medical in here lol.

I just saw Sweat is no longer attending the draft

Players I'm higher on than most/notable rankings:

Murray QB1

Henderson RB1 Barnes RB2 Justice Hill RB3 Trayveon Williams RB4 Ty Johnson RB5

N'Keal Harry WR1 Isabella WR3 Morgan Jr WR8

Moreau TE3 Sample TE5

Dillard OT1/Top 10 Nijman OT3

Chris Lindstrom OG1/Top 20

Erik McCoy C1/Top 20

Omenihu + Nelson Top 40 John Cominsky DE6

Ben Banogu Top 40 Crosby OLB4 Justin Hollins OLB5 Andrew Van Ginkel OLB8

Julian Love CB1 Jamel Dean CB3

Darnell Savage S1 Juan Thornhill S2 both Top 40 Mike Edwards S4

Great work.
The board seems very light in terms of Top 15/ Top 40 pics ( Miami picks 13/48).
Seems like your sweet spot would be multiple pics 20-25 range?

Thank you! Yes, based on how I think Miami should build the team, the draft is light on top talents, and it'd be ideal to move down; however . . .

I have to believe that Kiper/McShay know something. Obv if Lindstrom is off the board at 12, it's a moot point anyway.
