If Murray Doesn't Go 1

Personally, nothing. But for those claiming 'if the FO is convinced . . .,' there should be no complaints if they do 'whatever it takes.'

I agree with this. I'm in that 'if the FO is convinced' crowd. I hope they don't, but if they do, I just hope they're right.

If you think Murray is so good that he can take a team that consists of a really good left tackle and two defensive backs and 45 borderline practice squad players to a Super Bowl then by all means trade the ridiculous price tag it'll take to move up from 13 to 3 to get him.

I think if any qb can offset o line play it’s him.

Im not sold on him enough to trade up. You only trade into the #1 spot for prospects that are sure things.

It's not just his offensive line. It's also by paying the price to get him, the defense will continue to get worse and it stinks as is, so he has to lead the offense to at least 28 points a game to get to 7 wins. You're basically saying he's the love child of Dan Marino and Randall Cunningham if you think he can succed under such circumstances.

This is not the year to go all in - Had that been the case maybe you should add some quality on the OL in FA - ship floated already

The FO is playing it perfect to be a top the AFC East in 3 years

Stockpile picks don’t give them away

No different than the ask of tannehill for 7 years. Although this dude can offset the o line.

Guys like rosen and Haskins can’t.

to move up from 13 to 2 will take way more than people are saying on this thread. It'd take 2019 1st and 2020 1st and 2021 1st plus a couple of more picks. Stop dreaming guys but it's all academic. We're not getting Murray.

Murray fits Kingsbury's system like a glove. Murray doesn't fit Flores' system whatsoever. If we draft Murray, even at 13, its going to signal failure of this regime, because they're breaking their own rules on day 1. I'm hoping this regime is a success, and I can't see them drafting Murray, despite him being the one and only good QB in this draft. So, trading up for Murray? No thank you. I think we're far more likely to trade down than up. The 2020 draft is where we'll need to be at the top, when there are QB's that fit Flores' system like a glove. So, I can easily see us trading out of the 1st entirely to stockpile draft picks for 2020.

At this point in the season, don't believe anything you hear … it is the week of the draft. New news is unlikely. Misdirection is highly likely. Kyler Murray will go to Arizona, as he should … he's just what their coach needs.

Well said @rev kev well said. Becoming the best team in the AFC East in 3 years is a realistic and achievable goal. Becoming good overnight and competing in 2019, isn't.

I'm of the opinion that if Arizona doesn't take him, it might not be as crazy as a lot of people think to get up there.

The Niners aren't taking him - they've got Jimmy G.
The Jets aren't taking him - they've got Darnold.

So realistically, the price is moving from 13 to 4. Once that's the deal, if I'm a GM? I'm offering this year's first, this year's second, and a 2nd and 3rd next year. That's not too far out of line, value-wise.

Our first, Howard and maybe next years second. Like said above you don't need to move up to 1st. 13 to 3. I am not sure that gets the job done but I would start with our first and howard. Murray is the only QB I would be willing to draft this year.

You overlooked a team moving up to 2-3

That is my offer for moving up to 2 or 3. Basically "We know you're not going to take Murray. This is what we'd offer the Raiders for pick number four."

Would I go a little more? Maybe. But not much.
