Please no!!! Unless that has no bearing on a first round qb next year. He would be a fine back up for a third tounder

I dont have a problem if its a third and thats it. Let him play this season and make Tua or whomever win the job from him after.

If he can beat out Fitzpatrick this year he may be pretty decent in terms of reading coverage.

The real question- where does Rosen slot in this years draft? Additionally i think the giants may be the team who gets him in the end.

For a 3rd I would be all in.

Even if he gets beat out and/or plays badly they will own his rights for long enough to find a way to trade him & get something of value in return.

But, wouldnt that mean Rosen gets a big contract? To be a backup?

No, Rosen still has 3 years + a team option on his rookie deal and his cap # is only $3M. I don’t think a 3rd will get it done- a lot of teams will be willing to give up that little for him.

If the Cards trade Rosen for a 3rd round pick, I very much doubt they will trade him to us.... just think about it from their FO perspective, if Rosen goes somewhere and is successful its gonna look very bad on them for only getting a 3rd round pick. So if they trade him, they will likely want to ensure Rosen doesnt get a chance to make them look bad for at least a couple years. In NE and LAC Rosen will have to sit for most likely multiple years.... that time frame is oddly valuable to the Cardnals FO as an insurance policy to push back the embarrassment they will face if he plays well somewhere else.

We know that no team in the Cards divison that needs a QB. With that concern out of the way.

There are probably 3-4 teams seriously interested in trading for him. The Cards aren't worried about Rosen going lights out in the NFL if he starts in 2019.

Highest bidder gets him.

I mentioned this in another thread. If we can trade down and use that capital for Rosen, I would be ok with that. Start him and if he does well then great. If not you get a high pick like AZ. WIN-WIN.

you have to make the deal for a third rounder....however maybe the Cards dont draft the km.

I think one option that hasn't been talked about at all is that the Cards take Murray and just say "**** it, let's keep Rosen" if no one wants to give them a 2nd or 1st round pick.

They are about to draft Kyler Murray who the main knock is that he will either get hurt (size) or go play baseball after his first concussion. Rosen with a rookie contract is a pretty decent insurance policy.

Cardinals have just as much incentive to keep him assuming the compensation comes in low.
