Miami Doing Due Diligence On Rosen -peter King

4th's aren't even in Arizona's vocabulary unless it's for a 2nd and a 4th.

Team's best shot are in the bottom first (NE). A high 2nd and a 4th or 5th. or at the least 2 3rds.

Only way a 4th would be considered is if there is a good player of need involved in the trade.

I was shocked when I read this on rotoworld this morning. Thought we were completely out on Rosen...but certainly a low, low asking price has to be intriguing.

For a 3rd? I'd do it. The Dolphins are likely looking to use their 2-4 rounders on a QB, so there is value in this trade if they can pull it off. He offers what you want in a backup with the upside of a QB1 if you can turn him around. These projects are what the Dolphins SHOULD have been pursuing when they had the Matt Moores of the world. It also keeps the train moving for drafting a QB high in 2020 if Rosen fails to impress.

I'd be surprised if it happened...I think other teams are more desperate than us...but wouldn't be upset.

For a 3rd, I think you gotta do it. I really don't want Rosen tho.

I actually have no problem with that. When word came out that Arizona was hoping for a 1st or even 2nd for Rosen, to me that was a huge NoNo, but I really would not have a problem with a 3rd or hopefully 4th or him...there he is very worth it.

I was hoping Miami would get a QB with possible starting talent, and Rosen at 3rd or beyond fits that bill.

This allows Miami to see what they have in Rosen this year, and depending on what he shows, Miami picks up another QB next year to either compete with Rosen, backup Rosen, or eventually play ahead of Rosen.

I guess I would do a third rounder for Rosen. I don't know though. I don't think I've ever soured on a player as quickly as I have on Rosen. Last year I would have drafted him in the first round, but everything that I've seen from him on the field and read about him makes me think he's just a monumental bust.

I would be kind of weirded out even for a 3rd....Fitz & Rosen battling it out for the starting job? What if Fitz wins the job & you have a Rosen vs Tua/Fromm/Hebert debate next offseason

If we got Christian with 1st AND Rosen for a 3rd that would be a STEAL!

Yes sir.

I'd like to swap our third for their fifth and then give them a conditional 2020 pick, that can't escalate above another third.

Wilkins is one of the guys who might make us pause on trading down.

I still think it's more likely we trade the pick, than not. So I've tried not to really love any of the top prospects.

Yea it will take more than a 2nd but not quite a first.

2 and a 4 probably would do it.

Miami should absolutely be doing their due diligence. The price is fine.

We really talking about getting this dude? He lead his team to the first overall pick. The first overall pick that a lot of yall in this thread say is damn near impoosible to do unless you have complete incompetence at the QB position. Threw 11 TDs, 14 ints, 55% completion percentage in 14 games. 66 passer rating. Averaged 162 yards a game passing. Hes not good. I dont care how "bad" his situation was. He should have been better than that in today's NFL.

His defense was ranked 20th in total defense. Not great but not bottom of the barrel like the team he is coming too. He had David Johnson. Fitzgerald. Kirk. Germaine Gresham. Ricky Seals Jones. It wasnt a gold mine of talent but lets not act like hes coming to a much better place. He is 4 day old slaw thats been left out of the refrigerator.
