A Juicy Bit Of Miami Dolphins Quarterback Gossip Drops As Nfl Draft Week Begins

I don't even like Rosen and I'd be fine with this. A third round pick is worth it in case I'm wrong.

Perfect! 3rd would be awesome. Think strategy too. He can sit behind Fitzpatrick to learn and grow. Build some value in preseason and some spot start duty. Still draft a QB in the 1st next year and then trade Rosen. They’d easily get their 3rd back...unless he completely tanks or quits.

It's an interesting situation for Arizona. When the team first started talking about Murray, I thought they were trying to get a team like the Raiders to move up and give up picks. It's unusual to give up on a quarterback so early. That raises some red flags perhaps, even though I do think Murray is a better prospect than Rosen. Is it more than Rosen's skill set? I know that was discussed prior to the 2018 draft, his personality etc.

As far as Miami goes, for a third rounder I have to think that's a steal. Since Arizona traded up to get Rosen, I don't think they'd do that deal. I have to think NE is in play with their first rounder, or maybe a team that offers a high #2 (Giants perhaps).

Not sure I want Rosen even for a 3rd... He looked out his league last year
and totally incapable of making NFL throws (anticipation + early).

Granted he was literally thrown into the fire but he burned up like
dried parchment. I'd have to pass rather than waste an R3.

I'd take him for a 3rd why not. You might get lucky and he develops into a good one

I'd give a 3rd for him. His potential is through the roof. But we've witnessed plenty of POTENTIAL over the years (not just with us), get firmly stuck in mediocrity or worse. Worst case, good back up. Best case, we totally rob the Cards and we have our franchise QB.

Rosen is a franchise quarterback. If a team gives him up they are stupid.

How about a 3rd this year along with the swapping of the first round picks.

I think one option that hasn't been talked about at all is that the Cards take Murray and just say "**** it, let's keep Rosen" if no one wants to give them a 2nd or 1st round pick.

They are about to draft Kyler Murray who the main knock is that he will either get hurt (size) or go play baseball after his first concussion. Rosen with a rookie contract is a pretty decent insurance policy.

Cardinals have just as much incentive to keep him assuming the compensation comes in low.

I actually think this is a likely scenario. Rosen’s value is very low right now, and Kyler Murray is too high an injury risk. Rosen’s value could improve with more game time and he is on his rookie deal. I don’t see much incentive to trade him, especially for a 3rd or lower round pick.

On the flip side of this, if AZ really wants him gone and is drafting KM because they know Rosen can’t cut it, that speaks volumes about the kid and his future in the NFL. I wouldn’t spend any draft capital on him in this scenario.

Myself, I would rather Miami draft a kid than bring in Rosen.

It wouldn't surprise me they are very eager for high draft picks and thought Rosen may garner one. I agree, the lower the value he can get, the more likely they are to keep him.

A 3rd for Rosen is a steal and doesn’t preclude the Dolphins using a 1st for a QB next year. Not giving Tannehill legitimate competition was a big mistake. Rosen most certainly will push for the top spot and at worst is a good back up option. That said I find it hard to believe the Cards won’t get a second for him.

I'd rather we keep our 3rd and use it to draft Will Grier or Jarrett Stidham. I haven't seen anything in Rosen that makes me think he's got more upside than either of those guys. Flame away.
