If Murray Doesn't Go 1

No different than the ask of tannehill for 7 years. Although this dude can offset the o line.

Look at how that turned out. And again, the team will be worse overall than in any of Tannehill's years plus the draft picks you have to give up.

As being currently reported by Pete Prisco.

If he does get to 2, how much are you willing to give to move up to go get him?

Not nearly enough to get me there, but I would be willing to give our 1st, our 2nd, and probably a player.

so i just did a first-pick mock draft, Bosa went 1, Murray ended up slipping to 7. I traded our 1st, 2nd and 5th this year to Jax for him, and them moved back in a couple other rounds to make up some late picks. Thoughts?

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 7 (JAX): Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 3 Pick 20 (SEA): Khalen Saunders, DT, Western Illinois (A)
Round 4 Pick 14: Anthony Nelson, DE, Iowa (A+)
Round 5 Pick 1 (ARI): Dru Samia, OG, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 5 Pick 21 (SEA): Gary Jennings Jr, WR, West Virginia (A+)
Round 5 Pick 35 (WASH): Greg Gaines, DT, Washington (A+)
Round 7 Pick 19: Jimmy Moreland, CB, James Madison (A+)
Round 7 Pick 20: Bruce Anderson, RB, North Dakota State (A)

If Kyler gets to #2 then I’m offering two 1s and a 3rd.

Murray is going 1 and Haskins is probably going 2 or 3 in a trade up. I think a lot of people are sleeping on this kid right now. NYG, Denver and Cincy would be a draft gauntlet to maneuver around for DH (for Miami).

Niners and Jets itching to move down and pick up a blue chipper anyway will likely find a partner. Washington may have to make 2 trades to make something happen for DH.

I am not sure what better use of the fourth pick Jon Gruden can make other than Haskins.

Don’t be lulled to sleep by the process, Haskins is blue chip. After it became assumed Murray was going No.1, 4-5 teams instructed all their scouts and personal to STFU and start praying.

Our 2020 1st is gonna be very high. that pick should be off the table.

I’m gonna disagree with you on the Haskins thing. I think the earliest he goes is #5 in a trade up.

I think if any qb can offset o line play it’s him.

Murray stands the best chance, yes, but in the end, bad OL always leaves its mark. With the OL RT had, often there were rushers completely unblocked and I can’t even remember how many times he was hit before finishing his drop back. Murray will likely have an even worse OL and running game than RT. With Murray’s build, how many hits like that can he take?

I’m not saying not to trade up or not to draft him, but I definitely wouldn’t rely on his speed negating a bad OL for long, and given his build, it might be even more important for him.

I can’t wait.

I hope I’m wrong. I want a shot at him. Niners and Jets are a little more in a desperation spot in the draft. SF hasn’t gotten the return yet on the Garrapolo trade or high DL selections. They need picks. As do the Jets minus three 2’s to get the very ho-hum Darnold. They should both be receptive to anything considered “solid” in a deep DL draft. No one is going to have to give three 2’s this time around.

At some point Shanahan and Gase are going to want some kind of offense. They need picks.

All of college football should be happy DH left after one year, I certainly wish he stayed another season.

My jaw would drop if the Giants passed.

I hope I’m wrong and he goes 13th. 10 X more likely he goes 3rd.

I agree with Digitals assessment that Murray does not fit Florres system nor it does not appear that Grier is interested in drafting a starting QB this year. Stock piling all those picks for next year, a pourous offensive line and so many issues this team currently has bringing in a rookie QB would most likely be a disrasterous move.

Which makes me question do we have the right coach. If Murray is the talent that let's say Hoops thinks he is and Florres will not draft him because of his self imposed system then perhaps the coach is a larger issue than the QB.

Shula would change his systems to fit his talent.

We have way too many needs to trade away future picks right now. We need to focus on trading down.

Wouldn't even pick up the phone to call. If he fell to 13, there would be another name on the card turned in to Goodell.
