Miami Doing Due Diligence On Rosen -peter King

For the record, he's. it being fired. He's caught up in a lateral movement in his industry.

Is this a team giving up on a draft pick, or taking advantage of what they see as a better opportunity?

If Haskins falls to us at 13 and we go 2-14, 3-13, and we get the 1st pick....is Tua out of the question?

TBH, if we landed Haskins I'm not sure how many games he might even start next year. 2-3?

With that in mind, I think a QB next year is out of the question. Even if we draft #1.

Our next first round QB would probably be in 2021 at the earliest.

You don't make a lateral movement with the 1st overall pick............I don't want Rosen or Haskins on this team so yes Tua would be the pick no matter what.

That team was not 2-14 terrible. That had a middle of the road defense. A top 5 running back. Fitzgerald. Christian Kirk. Gresham. Their oline wasnt good. Our miami dolphins were worst. Our defense was bottom 4 in the league. We won 7 games with so called terrible coaching.
I'm not sure what youe exact point is, but your original suggestion that Rosen got his coaching team fired is untrue and unfair.

I don't remember just how much the Arizona roster changed from 17 to 18 but with the trio of Palmer, Stanton, and Gabbert the Arizona offense averaged 228 passing y/g. Rosen averaged 172y/g. Hard pass.

Rosen was set up to fail. The line sucks and they had the worst run game in football. Wilks was in over his head and the offense was a mess. I don’t think he got a fair shake but at the same time I don’t think he would fare any better here given the current roster.

We would ruin the kid if we drafted him here this year. Sucky teams tend to ruin young QBs.

Which is why he sits for a year and allows Fitzpatrick to be the crash dummy for a season...just as they would do Haskins, etc.

Some people on this site would say it means he’s a coach killer.

A coach killer...

1st year, 1st time, Black head coach vs. trendy new college offensive "whiz"....

You blame this on Rosen?

So hard to judge Rosen having the worst O line in the league. The guy was thrown in a terrible program. He might be best QB in the draft. Most likely Baker will be but Rosen is way to hard to judge, and it's wrong to say he sucks. To me this is a hit or miss. Cards ruined his value. Miami should trade down. Pick up a 2nd round pick. If are 1st 3 picks is a DT, DE, and Rosen. That sounds pretty good to me.

The Cardinals had a horror show for an o-line. Rosen was running for his life playing behind that garbage. Even Tom Brady would look like garbage playing behind a putrid o-line.

It’s definitely hard to judge Rosen. However he might not do to well this season in Miami. We are clearly rebuilding. I would love picking Rosen up for a 3rd and I would let him set for a year behind Fitz. Let Fitz do his thing lol.
