So I'm here rewatching the 1st round of the 2018 Draft again because I'm so excited for tomorrow and wanted to look up some stats while I'm watching it, just evaluating the picks and who was successful. I stumbled upon the Pro Football Focus player rankings....

Mayfield was the 1st QB I searched he ranked out as the 8th best QB in 2018.

So I searched Darnold, who for some reason has been dubbed a great QB by the talking heads lately and it's been puzzling to me bc I thought Darnold looked like hot garbage... and their ranking justified my evaluation, hes ranked 29th... sounds about right to me.

So then, Josh Allen 27th, Rosen 37th, Lamar Jackson 34th..... so by this point your prob asking yourself, where did Tannehill rank..... 38th, Osweiler 35th.... so obviously the only question left to ask is where does newly acquired Ryan Fitzpatrick rank on this list?


According to PFF Fitzpartick was the 9TH BEST QB LAST YEAR, inside the top 10!

Just really thought this was cool and wanted to share with the group.

Well, I was and am a big Darnold fan so I can’t agree with you there.. guess we’ll see how it plays out, he was the youngest Qb ever to start a season last year..
 
Good stuff, I'm starting to get a little worried that we picked up too good a stop gap QB, perhaps trading for Rosen may be the best move, if he plays like he did as a Rookie we may have a better chance of getting in the Tua race !

Same. I was hoping we'd draft him and of course the jets do instead. But I think he's going to turn out to be a good QB.
 
Maybe Darnold will be good, I'm just going off last year, he threw like 4 ints against us one game.

It's not that cool if you look at it properly.You're getting excited on a QB that started only 5 games?

Horrible sample size on all your QB's especially Fitzpatrick.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Started 5 games , Winston started 11 games

Josh Allen started 12 games missed 4 games (Injury)

Baker Mayfield started 14 games, missed the first 2 (Rookie)

Rosen started 13 games, missed the first 3 (Rookie)

Tannehill started 11 games missed 5 games (injury)

Darnold started 13 games, missed 3 games (injury)

Lamar Jackson started 7 games , Flacco started 9 games

I was hoping we would draft Russell Wilson and Pat Mahomes, so im sure you can understand my pain, Darnold I had #1 overall over Mayfield, very close, we'll see how that pans out.

wish we could get Murray this year, but the rest of the prospects is not up to par with next year, so lets keep a big picture view and try to build a dynasty with the right QB.

Fitzpatrick’s Any/a the last 5 years combined is higher than the previous **** qbs best season ever. It is a huge upgrade.

Tannehill would be out of the league if he was drafted by any team other than the dolphins.

Man I miss the good old days when rookie QB’s were allowed to struggle without being labeled busts.

As far as Fitzpatrick, I believe he’s the wrong choice for tank commander. We’re going to win enough games to screw that’s dream up.
 
Not excited/happy about Fatzpatrick even a little no matter any numbers on PFF
 
Darnold reminds me of Matt Barkley......he is very Meh IMHO. This is just my guess and I could be wrong....but he will be the Jets starter for a few years, have some 6-8 win seasons and then bounce around the league. None of the QBs really enamor me in this draft, except Murray and I believe his size or lack there of will not stand the test of time in the NFL. I hope I am wrong, because I like to see everyone succeed who puts the time in!

It's weird your so negative on draft day.... what's your agenda here? You seem clearly angry for no obvious reason. I never said one thing about playing time, I said it was interesting. I never said it was 100% accurate just that it was interesting. You clearly dont like Fitzpatrick, my only question is why?

Are you related to Tannehill?

Because the dude sucks? Not liking Fitzpatrick as a QB is unrelated to Tannehill. You guys need to get that through your skulls.
