Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

Cards GM interviewed almost begging for someone to trade with. "I'm trying to create depth at the most important position" sure you are :) "I'm open to all options."

The way Wilks/McCoy approached that offense is the whole reason why they ended up here. No QB was going to succeed behind one of the worst offenses in history. They were poor hires that set up a poor situation for any guy.

Then they hire a coach who doesn't have a good track record of winning, who was a hot OC candidate. They give him the head job based on the offense movement. From day 1 he has given rosen the signal that he is going Murray at one. This gives them no leverage in a trade because everyone knows you gotta get rid of him now.

The idea that a starting QB is going down in camp is funny because it is very rare. So Mia, NE, and LA are sitting around waiting for the cardinals to cave because they lost their leverage.

Rosen would be an excellent pick up because Fits will do nothing and it allows us to see for a one year if he is that top 10 pick. if he isn't then we still have our shot at getting the guy we want.

You want to maximize your opportunities to find the guy and this is how you do it
Bro I not denying that this isn't an opportunity. I know that he wasn't in the best situation. It will be interesting what the final draft pick comes down to. What draft pick would you give for him?

at 1st i was thinking a 3rd but we need a lot of help at OL and DE. for a 4th or straight up Reshad Jones for Rosen

I think a late second (20-32) and 3rd next year is fair. They seem to think thwy will get more but that extra 2nd rounder this year is too sweet for them to pass on. They need more picks because they traded up last year and that's never cheap. It's a win-win for both sides

No, if Rosen doesn't pan out, it leaves the sucker holding the bag. I hope we aren't that sucker.

dolphins will find way mess it up when it come to qb

Are YOU sold on Rosen and if so why?

Is he worth the investment made in trenches if he doesn't pan out? Is Miami in a rebuild in a position to throw AWAY draft picks?

I don't know about trading for Rosen, I really hope Flores keeps rollin with the fat guys. Though, I could see Rosen having a chip on his shoulder...

That's way too much. They have no leverage

I know previously we were assuming a third round comp pick for letting James walk? I'm not even a Rosen fan and id send a third there in a second for him to see if he is the answer if not its time to pony up in 20

I saw a lot of Rosen in college and there's no doubt he's very good and also has the ****y attitiude which I think can help a quarterback as long as it is managed correctly. The kid has obviously had a horrible year on a bad offense so a fresh start would be good for him and last year's experience should help to ground hima little.

I'm all in for Rosen, definitely worth a shot.
