The draft starts in 30 minutes, and I thought we could use a thread for discussion throughout the 7 rounds.

Personally, I hope Haskins falls to the Fins at 13 (a nice number to draft a Miami QB). No trade ups, please.

If Haskins doesn’t fall into Miami’s lap, I hope we trade back.

If forced to make the pick, I prefer Simmons, Jawaan Taylor or Devin Bush.

Miami gonna Miami.

Why, because they didn’t do what you wanted?

Do we have any idea what the proposed deal was?? For all we know right now, what they did was the correct move to get this full rebuild off to a great start.

The pick doesn't make sense to me from a talent or team-building perspective. Learning that they could have acquired picks in a trade-down is just salt on the wound.

Productive player, leader, loves football, super clean/ captain type, good measureables, by all accounts top 20 pick.

Only criticism, could Grier have stolen a 2nd or 3rd Rd pick from Washington or another team, and could have gotten a Wilkins, Simmons or Bradbury. How can we know? Also not a knock on Wilkins.
Now if Grier comes away with Center McCoy Rd2 well then I have even less of a complaint.

I would prefer a safety like CGJ but suspect the Fins go OL. 2nd round targets I’m hoping for:

LIKELY GONE BEFORE 48
Jawaan Taylor
Cody Ford
Eric McCoy
Greedy Williams
CGJ
Juan Thornhill

OL TARGETS
Dalton Risner
Greg Little
Elgton Jenkins

DB TARGETS
Amani Hooker
Sean Bunting
Justin Layne
Lonnie Johnson

EDGE TARGETS
Chase Winovich

Like the trade back, don’t love swapping our 4th for their 6th (basically a 7th)

Fins not picking until 151. Also have 202, 233 and 234. Guys I hope fall to us in the 5th:

Hollins
Christian Miller
Maxx Crosby
Cashman
Brailford
BBK

Gaillard
Powers
Hyatt

Boyd
Ballantine
Sheffield
Redwine
Jordan Brown

Gary Jennings

I'd really love to pickup Travis Homer from UM in the 6th or 7th. He's plenty capable as a 3rd RB with good speed and competency in the passing game, and is a top shelf special teams player.
