Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

Because maybe they feel a QB who's a year removed from a 1st round evaluation is worth the risk. Maybe they don't feel the QB's that have a 3rd round grade in this class are as good as Rosen.
Hell, all of the first rounders not named Murray aren't as good as Rosen. (duh)

But if the plan is to take a QB next year in round 1, which now has to be the plan, why not get a Olinemen in the 3rd and help fix the line before we get our QB.

The way I see it, its not even about the draft pick, it's the time that we will give Rosen to "figure it out" its Tannehill all over again. It would prob mean we dont take a QB high in 2020 and were stuck with Rosen for at least 3 seasons "giving him time to learn"

Is anyone else sick to death of phrases like the ones above in "" ?

I feel the exact same way!

How can you know this, based off last year Rosen isnt any good and you dont know how these QBs drafted in 19 or more importantly in 2020 will turn out.

Putting it into perspective, if you want Rosen, you guys are basicly saying you dont want to draft a QB in 2020.... one of the best looking crops of young QBs in a decade. Why would anyone of you wanna throw that chance away for Rosen????

And how do you know that for sure? How do you know that Haskins won't be a better QB than Rosen? Hell there could be a QB that gets drafted tonight that ends up being better than Rosen.

Wouldn’t those phrases apply to any QB drafted in the first round?

there could be QB drafted tonite who ends up better than Murray.

No, I'm saying that as stupid AZ just proved, and Dallas with Aikman and Walsh, securing Rosen and drafting a QB in 2020 are not mutually exclusive. As a matter of fact, it's a smart way to hedge one's bets. We will have plenty of draft capital with or without a 3rd or 4th rounder for 2020

There could be but then you are contradicting yourself by saying that Rosen is better than every QB in this draft other than Murray.

Well it didn't apply to Rosen in Arizona since they drafted a QB in the 1st round a year later.
AZ also hired a coach who got fired for producing a losing record, was happy to take a demotion to USC OC and has never coached in the NFL... and then deferred to him to take Murray to plug into his "system" which has never proven successful yet. That kind of franchise stupidity is an indictment on the Cardinals, not on Rosen!

It's not what I'm saying, it's what gurus who spend all year studying these guys are saying... I'm just repeating that opinion.. from my armchair, just like you're refuting it from yours.

If we was truly talented why did his team draft his replacement the very next season? In the history of the NFL, the ENTIRE HISTORY, no team has taken QBs in round 1, two years in a row... until Rosen.

Why on earth is this even a popular topic, we can find a better option if we just wait 1 year? What's 1 year without a QB and Fitz is better than anything weve had in years... Rosen couldnt win the job from Fitz, no way... why would we hand the future of our team to Rosen? I just dont get it.
