Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

We need 48 to get him some o line help. Offer them your 3rd and a 2020 conditional 5th and see if they bite.

I don't know if I am over valuing the fact that it is important to take advantage of those low salary 4-5 years after the draft or not, but the fact that he is already a year in and we will suck for the next year or two, the timing doesn't seem right. I could totally see them developing a good team and then hamstringing buy over paying him on an extension for a mediocre QB i.e. Tammy

Arizona was terrible last year, Miami will be terrible this year so we would be going into the 2020 draft and still not knowing how the kid could perform with a decent team around him.

To expand beyond my thinking that a straight up 2nd round pick for Rosen is dumb. If say we can get Rosen tonight for less than a 2nd round (or even a 2nd round pick and a later pick in return) and then still get Tua next year, that will be quite a nice haul at QB. Rosen as a backup for at least two years to our first round QB next year would be pretty awesome.

While I think Rosen could have some potential, we are completely in the drivers seat on this as most needy teams took their QB and most other teams also don't want to give a 2nd for him as well. If a 3rd will get it done, do it. We just have too many holes to be spending too much on him right now. If they are patient, the cardinals will panic and you'll get him for what you want.

Miami is better then Arizona.

considering we have Tunsil & a decent Center....bettter WR core & Drake/Ballage are solid

I don't know...2nd round prices for QBs and us just haven't meshed well in the past...

AJ Feeley for a 2nd...

Culpecker for a 2nd...

Trent "Oatmeal Brains" Green for a 2nd...

John Beck

Chad Henne

Pat White

Not exactly a murderer's row, unless you count coaches...

Oh ****...

Avoid at all costs! It's cursed!

We actually traded a 2nd of old ass Green? I didn't remember that. I thought he was an FA.

There would've been a bidding war for Goff. Cardinals are finding it hard to find a buyer for Rosen. Miami are the only team in negotiations with them.
Goff played 7 games, avg'd 155/game with 5 TD's and 7 ints and 5 fumbles. With a completion % of 54.6.....no there wouldn't have been a bidding war

I don’t agree that we are in the driver seat on this. What keeps New England from offering their late 2 here? Or anyone else even?

This kids talented. This isn’t chopped liver

But man get him some o line help

Fitzmagic cast a spell and helped us dodge this bullet

I love when people throw in unwanted, overpriced players in trade options!!! Speaking of Jones do they take a cap hit if he is cut next year?
