Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

Why don't people understand this. Arizona doesn't have to trade him. They've already paid a huge chunk of his salary. Sure, Rosen could not report and sit out, but Zona could just say pound sand. If this were 3-4 years into his rookie deal maybe you get a top 10 QB for a 4th or 5th or whatever pick. But a top 10 QB, who is only getting traded because their new coach has been linked to KM for years, no chance. Arizona has more leverage than people are saying. They don't have to do ****...plain and simple.

Sure but they also don’t want to be looked at as dicks as employers by other players, coaches etc...they would be screwing Rosen big time

Arizona has to move him. The dude just did the most millenial thing in the world...he stopped following the Cards on his social media platforms. Screenshot_20190426-153312_Chrome.jpg

Rosen could be an issue in the locker room. That’s their motivation to trade him.
Not if he sits out. When's the last time a player that doesn't play cause some type of locker room distraction? Oh yeah, never. Only those who play.

LOLOLOLOLOL @ Jason La canfora!!! This guys got more poo than a fat cow!!! Jesus Christ where does this guy come up with this stuff. He's really out there!!! Good Lord he really needs to visit with that Chinese Massage Parlor and get those jewels jingled.

I forgot, wins are a qb stat. AZ was one of the few teams worse than us on offense.

Who said anything about wins??...He wasn't very good at the position - yes, the offense/O line sucked (and we weren't much better). But he also didn't impress with his play and giving up too much (and a 2nd seems too high without any sweeteners) on a chance is risking too much after seeing him play last season...esp. when we need help elsewhere and can use that pick for greater need.

Supposedly Arizona is saying that they could deal him when someone else's QB gets hurt to drive up the price now.

I totally disagree with that. Separate from the you aren’t running the same offense with rosen as Murray part of things.

They need to get rosen out of there. These are 22 year old kids who both think they are starters and stars even. Never in a million years will this work in the lockerroom.

If Flores and O’Shea are good with Rosen for a 2nd then it’s fine with me. I’m sure that they have watch film and probably even spoke with Rosen. I would think that they have a good idea of what a good QB looks like since they were around one of the greatest for a long time.

Because the Dolphins are in a position where they can't afford to trade away valuable draft picks for players who might not be the long term answer. They need all the draft picks they can get and hit on most of them if they wan't to rebuild the right way.

That happens all the time in the draft, even if a pick isn't traded. The selections made with a pick are as big a gamble. If your going to have to gamble, why not gamble on a better known commodity instead of getting a surprise when the new draftee decides we aren't using him properly or feels he can develop his own workout schedule or gets arrested for running up a bar tab and not paying it.

It could very well be MacKenzie who is pumping his tires. People think it's Ross, but if that were the case he wouldn't have been "suggesting" to Grier last draft to trade down.

That last part I could see and the cards even view it as leverage in trade this weekend.

But I’d call their bluff.
